Ok, I was once a Swordsman, and I just can't stand not haveing a sword in my hand...So, I'm picking up swordsman again!

I'm looking to get a goo curved sword to grind with, and I have 5 rancor teeth, each are 7-123dmg -0.56spd

Now, my question is, are these worth putting in a curved sword? Are they worth putting in anything?

I also found an adv. sword core (40-40 -0.5) is that good for a sword core, or could a master WS make a better one for me?

Also - those adv cores are worse then a WS can make....

There are a few things that you need to consider if your going to make some swords with those teeth. The problem with Rancor teeth is that although you will get a higher max damage out of a sword crafted with those, they will also make both slower and lower min damage sword thanone made with crafted cores. Now if your speed capped or even close to it then the speed wont matter, and if you are onlyusing it forthings other than highest end creatures and NPCs than the min damage won't be too detromental.

A 2h sword is pretty much out of the question for PvPthoughbecause of Melee Mitigation which will bring down your max damage by as much as 60% depending on how much mit your opponent has, and with such a low min damage this will severely effect your damage range. Asa swordsman I understand wanting to use a sword, but unfortunately there isn't much that can replace a good scythe or hammer. The only time I ever use one anymore is if I'm doing something like Aakuan or Janta missions.
