I'd suggest Master Brawler and doctor 4030 unless of course you can afford to buy yourself some speed and accuracy tapes then I'd go for master doctor.
But money can't buy you warvcry and intimidate 2 which are great skills.

This is imo brilliant for pvp cuz u can cure all stats and dots and have the goodies from m-brawler...For a group or PvE related player who wants to buff i would suggest M-Swords/Doc 4440....

I suggest Master Swordsman Master Doctor definitely
A. Because you can cure intimidate and warcry and intimidate 1 and warcry 1 are still good abilities.
B. Because you will make loads of cash from buffing and you can buy all the skill tapes you need.
C. You won't need a healer to solo night sister elders and you can rez party members.

Imo there is no need for Master Doc if u are not the only doc in the whole guild...getting good ressources for good buffpacks is imo harder than to buy em...as a doc 4440 i can buff for +2200 with the right sets(+25 bivoli/clothes/110er droid) witch is more than enough for pve and have another 15 sp free for other things...and btw. even a doc cant cure warcry cuz for removing a state u need the right curepack(stun/dizzy/blind/intimidate)...

I'm thinking of taking up doctor because almost all our group activities are impaired by not having a doc to buff, heal and rez as we merrily prove that tuskens, nightsisters and defence stackers do indeed have killing power. Saving everyone trips to Coronet for new buffs each time we mess up is bound to improve our game :-)
At the moment I'm master swordsman and master ranger with novice medic for stim Bs. I do enjoy master swordsman so will keep that.
My essential skills (apart from whacking things on the head with a hammer) will be healing, rez-ing and buffing. The buffs can be for less than 3 hours because when they run out I'll be able to buff again.
My question is - do I need master doctor or can I get by with novice doctor and less? Saving some skills points for master brawler for toughness looks tempting but the overall goal here is to end up with the skills to keep a whole group in the game together.

I'd go with Master Doctor for several reasons:
1. Your main goal is to keep a group of people together, a doc can do this by rezing. I don't see how a Master Brawler could.
2. Aside from keeping groups together, Master Doctor will help you more than Master Brawler in PvP/PvE. You'll be able to heal all you health/action with 1 shot, and you'll be able to cure yourself (and others) of any ailment imposable by others.
3. If nothing else, you could potentially make a ton of money selling buffs in Coronet to the people who don't have Docs in their group.

Thanks for the feedback.
With doc 0430 I could buff, rez and heal nicely. That also leaves room for master brawler. What would I be missing by not having 0440?

thats where rez is =(.... I had to make the same decision earlier this week. I went MDoc/MSwords/1000scout. I also made him a zabrak. The way I see it, with all their states usless, all they can do is hurt my health/action, I can heal that fully in one shot, so its just how fast my mind goes, and I can HEAL my mind once per hour with zabrak, so thats twice as much right there. It takes a very very very long time for me to finially die from them, plenty if youv got some speed tapes in ya.

U cant cure dots...imo very value...and afaik the med-use 80(or lower)buffs arent that good...like i said before....doc 4440 is a good way to go if u are not the only doc in your guild...in case that u are the only doc u should get md...for pvp related things its better to have a docwho can buff for +3000 with nice janta buffs...
