Thread: Did anyone see the changes to TKA power boost?
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=teras_kasi_artist&message.id=19413
The buff depends on their meditation skill mod so at master they can double their Health and Action pools. I'm not against this at alland definately not calling for a nerf (it's not even outyet)but what are we supposed to get to compete?
Wrong and wrong...
Their boost is 1/2 their mind pool to ALL 3. IE 800 800 1000 becomes 1300 1300 1500 for 10 minutes if they are a master. So his question about what we get is valid.
sorry my mistake. Still this really doesn't seem fair to the pikemen especially, seeing as they get half the toughness and no buffs.
what are the devs F U C K I N G THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG this pisses me off. so **edit** unfair.
COMON DEVS, YOU SLACK JAWED, MENTALLY RETARDED SONS A B I T C H E S.
**edit** THIS.
Thats pretty amazing....
As posted a gazillion times there are 3 melee professions waiting for some simple answers and they are over there in TKA just giving them all the treats and candies they can dream up.
I'mnot a whiner or the jealous type but it's pretty clear that there is some serious favoritism going on around here.
Actually, from what I understand this is how Powerboost was SUPPOSED to work. Powerboost is not a new skill. TKA's have had it since the game shipped. It was just very broken/pointless to use. (kinda like half the sword specials
)
My feeling is that the Devs are going through and fixing what is broken before adding new stuff, which is wise. Why add stuff to professions only to suddenly have them overpowered with an ability that they did have but never worked is suddenly fixed, forcing them to nerf something on the class in return?
If it's too overpowering, they'll remove it. On a whole, Melee's are severaly dis-advantaged against ranged folks. Making any melee-class better is a good thing IMHO.
Why? TKA's spend the same CP as a Swordsman. So they both should be equally effective (tho perhaps not in the same ways). If TKA's are buffed to be the most effective melee class, than that means that bar is now raised. It's only a matter of time before the Devs raise the other Melee classes to that bar as well.
Maybe Swordsman won't be able to buff themselves, but have some kind of ability that makes up for that. Increased damage. Increased AoE Damage.. Sword throw (heh, ranged DB would kinda be interesting..) or something along those lines.
Don't get discouraged yet friends. Keep fighting the good fight.
