All right just got Novice Two-handed and I have been loving it.. My original goal was to master it and through in a little Rifle action on top. Figured start out with head hit on the rifle and finish with head hit on the big stick!! But now I am not so sure.. I am limited as I have to keep some Scout skills for harvesting… What do you guys recommend to stack with Two-handed to give me the most bang for the buck in PvE?

Well, it depends on what you want to hunt. I had master smuggler when my holo told me to master swords. I am now in love with swords (something I never would have tried on mt own) and don't intend on giving it up for a long time. The smugglers dirty fighting line, feign death in particular, some good composite armor, a good set of buffsand master swordsman title (loved it so much I mastered in a few days over the holiday) have allowed me to solo some critters I'm sure I wasn't supposed to be able to solo. I won't say what critters for fear of the almighty nerf bat, but lets just say nothing on dath or in the kryatt canyon are safe.

Allright saw another post about CH and Two-handed being the way to go... I figured CH and Rifle let the pets tank and you blast away... I figured there would be more ideas on this as I assumed another brawler Elite like TK or something might round 2h out... Or is another brawler class besides Master just a wate?

Depends on what you want.

I'd suggest mastering brawler for the 2h Lunge KD and 20 second warcry.

If you're a dabbler TKA 2/3/0/4 isnt bad either as you get powerboost, state defenses, defensive acuity, melee and ranged defenses. Powerboost costs 9 points in the first skill tree.

Carbineer also has counterattacks but i don't knwo how long that will continue to stack.

warcry 2 gives you a delay of 20 second. its priceless in pvp and soloing things like atsts and kimogilas and huge mobs.

Do not give up on the Rifleman idea yet. I made it from Novice to Master Swordsman in a lot less time than I otherwise would have because I am also a Master Rifleman. Mindshot1 and Mindshot2, then Peace, let it aggro on you and run to you, all the while bleeding from the ears. Then when it gets to you, pull out the Hammer and pop it for two more mind bleeds (if it is even necessary at that point) then beat the crap out of what little mind pool it has left. And that assumes you are trying to maximize the sword XP by not pounding away with rifle Headshots as it comes to you.

Rifleman and Swordsman are good complementary professions, and you get Mindshot1 in Marksman and Mindshot2 in one of the first level Rifleman boxes. You also get Headshots 1 and 2 in Marksman (Headshot3 is a second tier special, but its HAM costs are excessive enough that many Riflemen do not even use it). So for very little investment, you get the most complementary features of Rifleman even if you do not plan to Master it.

This technique, by the way, of hitting it with a mind bleed with the rifle from a safe distance is a great way to single pull critters from a group. If you are far enough away when the bleeds hit, only the one creature will come, so goodbye to BAF if you do not want it and use the appropriate tactics.

That is exactly what I just started doing today. I mastered Rifle then I droped everything but mind hit 2 and will keep that as long as I can. This way I can still put one of the pack and deal with them one on one its awsome.

Is Master Brawler really worth the 48 Skill points? I mean Warcry 2 looks Awesome but 48 Skill point to get it?

If you become Master Swordsman/Master Brawler with dirty fighting in smuggler, then this will happen:

If you want to have a PvE templete all you really need is Master Swordsman. You can solo anything pretty much if you are buffed and have armor on.

What I usually do is go right to the lair and start pounding on it. Let everything aggro me. Once you have like 7-8 creatures on you u start using area3 and they'll all be dead in a matter of seconds. Hardest part is when you are harvesting them its hard to target them because their are so many dead creatures stacked around each other.

For PvE, Swordsman is all u need.

Go Master Swordsman/Master Doctor and buff the crap out of yourself. With your buffs, you can migrate your stats to easily wear any armor in the game and still have excellent regens. With the extra points you have, throw em in to scout, so you can harvest avain meat for your buffs. With some high kinetic and energy resist armor, and full master doc buffs + swordsman you are a beast. Also remember even a non ch pet is really mean when you throw and extra 2-3k health and action on it, and then throw buffs on it to regen.

Okay does this change now that soon we will only have one type of DOT per creature.. Rifle was looking good as I could stack 2 mind bleeds and then stack2 more with Swordsman… Especially since I read something in the patch notes about riflemen being more effective at pulling one mob from a pack at some point…
