Use accuracy power ups over damage ones. The weapons you get are plenty power ful, but inaccurate. Get your local weaponsmith to make a hammer that you'll only use for pvp, and keep some accuracy powerups for it.

I became a swordsman through the dreaded Holo and have grown to really like the proffession. I really wanted to be the Rifle/TKA PvP template but I just had to open another holo...... I actually think that this proffession is VERY enjoyable and extreemly powerfull in PvE (Lots of experience). However I decided I'd leveled enough (0/4/3/3) and fancied a bit more chalenging experience. I Poped off to the clone center and insured my beloved armour (Ubese + Acid Compo helm) and followed a few people off too Anchorhead.

First impressions were excelent I managed to stick quite a few bleeds and headhit3's but as time wore on I discovered the WOEFULL lack of accuracy in the powerhammer (-25,-25,-25) that is speed sliced. I would have to chase after people for ages spamming /lunge before it hit. I eventually switched to my curved sword to land the last hit. Thankfully I was always fully buffed so didn't feel the laughable HAM costs too.

I didn't have too many bad experiences of the KD/Dizzy combo although I did get slain once by it but I survived more often than not. I also found that fighting IN buildings (if I could convince them to do it ) put me in a big advantage

I currently have 2/1/1/0 in TKA so I can powerboost and cure bleeds (and use dizzy kd if I get desperate). I really dont want to drop Master AS so points are at a premium. Would it be worth my while picking up master brawler? I dont think that KD would be any more benificial the posture change unless if gave me more to-hit bonuses as if I do hit they often manage to resist.

Some advise from experienced PvP'ers would be appreciated in maximising swordsman

unarmed lunge2 is nice to use, as its the only kd we get. but the real benefit to master brawler is warcry2 and intimidate2. its sucks getting hit by warcry or panic shot, and not being able to do anything for 10 seconds. its sucks even more when you're hit by warcry2, and can't do anything for 20 seconds. whenever i pvp with my swordsman, i use warcry2 off the bat. follow that with a lunge and my 2 bleeds, and then its chase the imp until i can usually kd them again (30 seconds later). by then, they have 10 seconds to do something, which usually isn't much if the bleeds have been ticking away. this is of course if i hit with all my attacks. so when i use the lunge, i use my curved sword. its the most accurate of my weapons, and pretty fast, so if i miss, i can hit again soon enough.

Two-hand sword is the strongest PvP melee profession. This will change after the bleed combo, but once I got used to using it I can definitely say it's the best due to mind damage being unhealable. I have powerhammer and two-hand axe on my toolbar. Two-hand axe used for hitting stuff with high defense. Again the bleed changes are going to screw us up so I'm not sure after that.
