Swordsman Archive

Ok, so my friend and I more or less had the same template with 3/0/4/0 pistoleer and MBH. However, BH got old because the Flurry Jedi don't like getting online and I've always wanted to try out Swordsman. This morning we decided to drop BH. He's going Rifleman/CM and I'm going Swordsman/Doc. Our plan is to be an unstoppable duo in both PvP and PvE (mostly PvE, PvP is just for fun). Anyway, what boxes should I go for first? Where is the best place to hunt? Should I use a Power Hammer right off or wait until I get better speed and go with a nice 2-Handed Curved Sword first?

Any help or advice for an aspiring Swordsman would be great.

First of all let me say I hope you enjoy the doctor/swordsman template as much as I do. It's a really fun template. Now for some tips:

Do not use a power hammer early on. Use curved sword. Hammer is too slow and too inaccurate at low levels.

On thing you are gonna want for leveling is a good area attack. Defense 1 should suffice for getting you a good area attack as it gives you spin2. It has a x3 damage multiplier which is the highest you will get till offense 4 (offense 4 should be the last skill before master).

The first tree to go up all the way is techniques. It gives you the speed you're gonna need to use a hammer effectively. And it gives you your best special, headhit3, which has the greatest DPS of any of the swordsman specials(when attacking a single target that is).

After you finished the techniques tree I would say go for finishing off the defense tree then finally the offense tree. Get finesse as it comes.

I did fort tusken myself and mastered in 5 days. I was already a master doctor though. I could have done it faster somewhere else but I didnt want to be alone and the other people at the fort kept me company. Your situation is different though since you have your friend to level with.
