Thread: Getting to Novice Swordsmen
Hey there, actually the xp goes pretty quickly, and you'll find that you really enjoy the different weapons too. Start off with the heavy axe (wood handled one), you can get one off of the bazaar for 500 creds. The second box will give you the skill to use the 2-sidedBattle Axe (pretty cool looking to carry aound too, esp for a Wook). Box 3 you can use the 2 handed Curved Sword, get one sliced for speed. You can finish off your xp with that all the way through novice, even though with box 4 you can use the Heavy Cleaver. Have fun! And if you are capped for combat xp, you can get novice and the first 3 boxes of swordsman that require xp points, and with that you can use the Scythe Blade. Love that weapon.

And use Power Ups on whatever weapon you use -- at least until you get sufficient accuracy and speed mods as you level Swordsman. As you are going up the brawler swords tree and your first boxes in Swordsman, they make a huge difference.
