Thread: What do you do when your Scythe goes bad?

If when you do the quest, you only get a schematic good for 2 Scythes, what happens when the life of your weapon expires or you fail to repair it?
I suppose you could buy one from those who do the quest just for the loot, but how soon before everyone who's gonna do it has done it, and sold out of schematics?
Unless I am totally missing the point and you can do the quest more than once, but from what I understand, that is not the case.

Just use 100 weapon repairs, and eventually the scythe can be obtained in other fashions. But if you get your 2 scyhtes....they will last (You dont usually use a scythe as a main weapon)

i do...and why shouldnt we?
there is little point in having a weapon and being scared to use it because of degradation.
The shortsightedness of the devs in making the scythe schematic a 2 times only affair and each schem being limited to other drops shows very little aforethought.
the rumours of scythe availability from other places than the krayt quest will be welcome news if and when we get some details.
100% weapon repir kits isnt the answer to an everlasting weapon...my last one used 100% kits...one partial repair dropping con and next repair about 1 week later it fell apart.
sorry if i come cross a little hard, but the scythe and implementaion of the hack just wind me up a little.
for any conspiracy theorists out there...devs realise that scythe will eventually die out through lack of schems and so bring in the hack.same dmg but a little worse stats..that way they cant be accused of nerfing the exisiting scythes and can point at hack for a kinetic damage weapon of near same stats.

now ive said thsi before but i'll say it again, you personally can get 4 scythes made for you. 2 per schematic, 1 schematic per quest, and u can reset the tatooine quests once. now even if you take some care into the components you gather to have your weapons made with, they will turn tou very well. mine, made with yellow cubes, still has 1060 max durability. now they do decay fast, but 4 will last you a while. and theres always the option of making them with green cubes to makem last that much longer.

It's not like you can't find reasonably priced vendors. I'm still waiting on my scythes to be made, so I just went out and bought 6. Even now I still haven't used more than 30 condition on the lowest dmg sliced one.

Well not every server has Scythes made from serial-missing geo cubes.

Mine just broke on repair 
Used a 100% tool, and +3 weapon repair CA (if that even helps)

Actually you could get 6 scythes from 2 schems...however i got 4, and all have gone to the great big used scythe graveyard in the sky .
Nismo message me in game, im on eclipse and im not questioning the validity of your statement that you went out and bought 6...but i have scoured the planets and so far found 1 scythe on a vendor 500k with significantly below par stats..even trade board requests have been fruitless.
if you know some vendors carrying scythes i would appreciate a heads up.
