Thread: Has anyone noticed that counter attack doesnt work as well as it used to?

A few patches ago ST.Gabe posted somthing about us noticing anything with counter attack...I think thats when it happened. It seems we dont counter attack as often as we used to at all... PVP seems the same. Even with usung CoB against mobs like pickets im noticing that I counter attack Waaaaay less.
I think they still hate swordsmen...they even threw a sneaky-nerf at us...
Jeez at least TELL us were getting nerfed. Its not like were not used to it or anyhting.

I've been wondering why it has absolutely 0 effect against high-level mobs such as AT-STs and the CorSec Master Security Specialists and their ilk from the Corvette. With Master Brawler and Master Swordsman, I have never counterattacked a single one of their attacks, while in PvP and most other PvE my counterattack is basically a forcefield protecting me.

Hmmn, I notice it working but I can't compare to pre publish 6, so dunno. Compared to Dodge, I'd say its working about the same as Dodge did when I had the same level of skill.

i use a COB macro that constantly runs in combat. only the highest level mobs hit me anymore. and when they do, i noticed i counterattack quite often. i have it highlighted so its easier to spot in the combat spam. i have also noticed that when i forget to start my COB macro i rarely counterattacked. *shrug* could be observer error though, who knows.
