Thread: Swordsman CHanges in CU?

I knwo this has probably been asked before but can anyoen outline the changes happengin to swords post-CU?
I am trygin to think if i need to change my template at all. Right now i am master brawler/master swords/ tk 4304.
I have heard that post-CU the best melee profs will be tkm or Pikeman?
But i have also heard that most combat will be geared towards ranged rather than melee....in which case shoudl i consider pickign up a ranged prof?
Please help!

master swords/brawler/tkm sounds like a great template to have post CU. from what i can gather, tk will make a great tank that wouldn't require as much healing and support as a character who is 'just' a master swordsman. the only draw back, and i could be wrong because i can't go on to TC, is that us swordsman won't have an area attack any more. you should have enough sp left over to get the area attacks from pikeman, and i would work on that before the CU hits live, while soloing is still viable.
if worst comes to worst and you don't like your template, you could re-spec. however, i wouldn't give it up untill you test it out a bit.

The stuff we commonly grind on now will not be that hard to solo after the CU. I could handle up to two Nightsister Rancor Tamers (level 75) by myself with Swordsman/Pikeman/Brawler. You can get 4000-5000 xp from far weaker things than that.

Soloing wont be possible and right now pve is unbalanced at high levels, one hit incaps and such, so mostly i have been playing with pvp/gcw, i tried a swordsman template early on and it was dissapointing, but now that they tweaked the specials im TKM/MBrawler/Mswordsman Fencer4010 and Pikeman 0040, this is so that i get the most defense out of fencer and intimidate and warcry from pikeman, its a really good template and since crafted powerhammers are really good in the cu i can hit for 1300+. I have won every duel one on one, but in pvp its kind of hard since if you get too close to the group of enemies and you are the only melee they gank you pretty bad lol. Root is also a problem, but i just take that time to run cob, warcry and heal.
