I just looted the schematic for the geonosian reinforcement core... and I've also found like 3 schematics for the sword cores.. is there a difference in use?

Yes, reinforcement cores are for non-sword melee weapons. The sword cores are for... swords.

I am a master weaponsmith on gorath. re-inforced cores are for power hammers , gaderiffi batons, 2 hand axes, and stun batons. sword cores are for swords of all types, the 2 hand cleaver, and the scythe. You need 2 identicle sword cores for 1 scythe. Happy hunting!
