Thread: What to level up in first?

I've just started to learn swordsman and am wondering which tree or skills is best to level up first. I've got combat XP stacked to make me 0003 as soon as I hit Novice Swordsman, but is it best to go for the speed/defence or other tree first? And which specials do you guys use when hunting? I'm probably going to level up hunting savage quenkars on Dant as I used these to Master Rifleman so know them like the back of my hand and know I can rescue myself with Rifle skills if I get caught short with my swordsmanship, I'd just like a hand from some more experienced swordsmen on the best way to hunt solo.

Any reason? And what to level up to? Just get level 1 across the board or is it more beneficical to get tech to a higher level?

I'm doing tech as the first full line, but first I got the first box in defense for spin2.

no TECH 4 for speed and head hit 3 which youll use for the whole grind. then def for mit 2 then offense.

So you're suggesting to level up the tech tree to IV and then do the others, starting with defence?

i started with 0/00/3... then i got the first defense box for the spin attack... and then went up the techniques line, and then ended with the offense line.
i spent my entire grind spin attacking savage quenker lairs.
