Hi there.
I have dropped my Rifle (whimper)and switched to Swords for a change of pace. However i dont have enought points to master the profession so would like some advice on what 2 trees to take.
I have enough points for 2 trees of four. eg 4040 and nothing in Brawler aside from the 2 handed tree.
I am almost a master CH (just a few more days hehe) and Ranger and i spend all of my time in PVE. I dont enjoy PVP so do not expect to need pvp skills. I do a lot of group hunting.
What lines would you suggest i take and why?
BTW im loving it so far. Its great being able to get in close and help my pets

I recomend offense tree and defense tree (...4040...) that way you get good AOEs and toughness and mitigation2 from defense... If your doing mostly PvE the aoes are great for taking out lairs with herds of beasties with it...target the lair and aoe till evreythings dead...SO GO UP OFFENSE FIRST (you'll get exp quicker doing the aoe trick) Hope that helps

I would go 0/4/4/0... if you don't get the 2nd line, you won't get any speed increases. The speed increases are what make everything else so good...

yes the whole line. if you really want a cool animation to show girls go tech 4 off 1 then def 4 then finish off

thanks for the input peeps but i can only do 2 lines maximum as im going master CH and keeping a lot of ranger as well. Is the Scythe very good? if so ill have to consider the finesse line and one other.
Bah i hate not knowing what to do.

There's *no choice* but to get the speed line (without it a power hammer isn't even worth carrying), and there's *no choice* but to get the def line (melee mitigation2 will nearly cut all the damage you take in half). Unfortunately this leaves you without headhit3. As a master rifleman i'd say headhit3 would be very intriguing to you, as it would combine well with headshot3.. ie start hitting something from 64m with headshot3 then switch to power hammer and headhit3 when it closed on you.
I'd recommend you either drop a little more of ranger, or pick a different profession from swordsman.
