Whats the forumla for figuring out actual speed of a weapon?
Like a 5.3 speed power hammer
actualspeed = weaponspeed * specialdelay * (1 -(personalspeedmod * .01))
HeadHit3 has a delay of 2.25
Master Swordsman has a perrsonal speed mod of 75
For that hammer:
actualspeed = 5.3 * 2.25 * (1 - (75 * .01)) = 5.3 * 2.25* .25 = 2.98 seconds per hit
Master Swordsman/Master Brawler has a personal speed mod of 80, so:
actualspeed = 5.3 * 2.25 * (1 - (80 * .01)) = 5.3 * 2.25 * .20 = 2.39 seconds per hit.

Ok, if the above is true, is the below true too then?
Say you are a MHS (no Master Brawler), but you got some extra cash, and bought some 2H Speed attachments, say +17 total (or +25 if you want to over do it I suppose).
With the +17, your skill mod would be +92, so with that is the following true then (w/the same hammer as above)
actual speed = 5.3 * 2.25 * (1- (92 *.01)) = 5.3 * 2.25 * .08 = 0.954 so with the speed cap, you'd hit every second.
Just for fun, if you had the max speed attachments,
actual speed = 5.3 * 2.25 * (1- (100 * .01)) = 5.3 * 2.25 * 0 = 0
So, my with my current shopping spree of SEAs, all I'd need is a total of +17, to do HeadHit 3 at the speed cap with a 5.3 speed weapon. It's good to be a Swordsman.
And that my friend is the problem with the SWG combat system. Almost every profession can reach the one second cap through SEAs. Why be a fencer or pistoleer when a heavy swordsman or riflemen hit harder and at the same speed. ![]()
Hopefully the revamp (if they ever get around to it) will fix these problems.
