That "crap" armor has around 50% kinetic resist.....That is about the same as my first set of ubese that I leveled with, so yeah, I'd say it's very possible.

i have a wookie alt char.. that is a md,but i was gona do the sword 4 soloing mobs but with this crap armor is it possible?

given the armor disadvantage we currently have, its a good idea to take some fencer or tkm defenses if you wish to be as effective as the non-wookiee MHS's
hopefully this will get better when the hunting armor is released
btw this is NOT a whine about wookiee armor; I love my armor

also, you could just eat a lot of synthsteak and wait for the new armor

i mastered without wearing a single piece of armor. then four or so months after i mastered i slowly started picking up other skills. so far i have master brawler, 4/3/0/4 tka, one skill in fencer (cant remember which), and master polearm defense. with buffs, and using center of being, some vasarian brandy, along with intimidate 2 i can solo a force crystal hunter (one on one only though 
). and i still havent invested in a single piece of armor.

I have tanked for the guild in my wookiee armor. It isn't that bad against melee mobs. I am DOC/HSM and love it as a wookiee. I don't do alot of PvP anymore but out there we have always had a hard time as mellee combatants.
