Thread: Power Hammer?

new to swordsmen so i have a quest, What exactly is the best weapon that you guys use? is it the powerhammer? and what is considered good speed/damage on the best weapon? any feedback would be appreciated! cheers.

For quick xp, a speedsliced Powerhammer or a damage sliced 2hand curved (or Cleaver but they look icky imo 
) are best.. then spinattacks on lairs

Scythe is indeed yummy, and by far the best weapon available atm for swordspeople, but they can be expensive and hard to get hold of.. so for everyday use the Powerhammer or 2hand curveds are better imo Scythes have the advantages of both "normal" weapons - they have good damage and good speed, more balanced than either PH (a little too slow and innaccurate for PvP unless u get a super uber one) or a 2hand Curved (low minimum damage so suffers from melee mitigation), so imo Scythes are far better used in PvP than PvE... altho I use my Scytheblade on most things, because i don't do much PvP atm
As for stats, my grinding PH was about 3.7 speed i think after slice, cant remember the damage tho :/ or a 2.4 spd 2hand Curved with 75-314 dmg after slice..

If your a novice swordsman I would not use a hammer. your speed and accuracy will be horrible. And if your a novice swrodsman you also can not use the scythe as you rnot certified. I used a 2handed curved sword untill master and i still do. As mentioned scythes are not cheap and kinda hard to come by. My scythe is strictly PvP or high end game. Unless your rebal or a nightsister your gonna see the edge of my curved sword. Plus curved swords are fast enough to make up for there low damage.
Untill master I would not use a Power Hammer at all unless you can find one iwth a good spleed slice and the accuracy of 0 at all ranges
Im master swordsman and i still done like to use my hammer

Scythes are not so good once u get a good acklay ph, i have a very very high standard scythe for my server and i never use the thing becaue my ph is much nicer.

Once you get your speed up, PHs rule. You need more than just master swordsman to cap out though - master brawler helps a little, the FS melee speed skills, and of course skill attachments.

PH's rule. Blast Damage is soo much better than kinetic. Who cares if you're slow with it.

true... dmg sliced Acklay PH is godly IF you are speed capped, thats like minor population of Swordsmen. The guy is new to profession and unlikely he/she is speed-capped. Without any skill mods, scythe still the best weapon in speed/dmg.
