Thread: Question about certain loot drops

Been around lok lately and seen a ton of giant dune kimo's. Heard that their scales they can drop are used in RIS armour so i'd thought i'd give it a whack. I'm a Master Doc and almost master swords on this particular toon. My question is what exactly is the scale that is used in RIS armour? I've looted a bunch of kimo scale segments but they have stats on them and i was told by someone that these arn't the ones i'm looking for. Anyone able to clue me in on what it is exactly i'm looking for? Thanks!

You want the ones called "Giant Dune Kimogila Scales" that look like the old hide containers. They don't have any stats. Good luck getting them though; not only are they very rare, but they're rumored to be not dropping at all after Patch 12.

Yeah i've heard the same thing 
Also, probably should ask on armorsmith forum, but annother peice to look for is Gurk King hide correct? Asking here as this class seems to know the most about loot and the drops

GDK scales, Gurk Hides, and Woolamander Harrower Bones are not dropping.
don't waste your time.
peko peko feathers are dropping them, but no one smart uses them in their ris armor

Bah! Anyone know if their is a fix in sight for this? Thanks everyone btw for the quick answers
