Thread: So what are we after cu2?

Just curious if anyone saw exactly what the hell we get turned into? We just lose everything we worked towards and get a respec to one of the 9 profs!??! sigh i hope i just read tiggs post all wrong, I am tired, i hope i missread the disaster they are unleashing.

we dont get turned into anything. we are gone.

Wow, just wow, that realy hurts. We are nothing, when i actualy get emotional over losing a character template i know i gotta just step back and go for a long walk. Yes a long walk right into SOE dev studios to slap them up.

Well you will be a Commando most likely, if your a true Swordsman you like being able to dish out heavy damage and playing with big toys.
Commando will hopefully fill that void for us and we will be able to still use our Swords with that profession.

Yeah from what I understand commando will be the closest thing to us in the NGE. I think somehow the new system will allow you to specialize in melee or ranged as a commando. Keep your fingers crossed men.

said thing is it doesnt... it has melee or range attacks not both. And the majority of the attacks from these professions seem to be range attack though.
ALso anouther thing that i have noticed while playing the jedi was that a pistol was doing more damage then the Knuckler that i was given. This was because the pistol had a faster refire rate. If this is what it is for all the other weapons i will be afraid. Would make using Melee weapons pointless to use. But this is assuming that all range weaposn has the refire rate of that pistol and that all melee weapons are that slow and that the damage on them are going to be that close to the real numbers.
So i'll keep testing and will see what happens when finally figure it out. But it is sad as being a jedi the best weapon to use is a pistol.

LOL. That is pathetic. All the Devs must be leet ranged guys if they made a combat system that is that biased toward ranged. I hope we don't see cu2 jedi walking around with DE-10's and Adv. Laser Rifles.

This is pretty distressing for me too. I have a Master Swords/TKM/Master Brawler and Half of Pikeman Toon. I looked through what I could find in the differnt professions skills and the word "Shot" seems to come up for most of thier specials. I'm guessing you can't use those with Melee weapons. 
Only Major Melee left looks like it's going to be Jedi, and I'm not turning my Brawler into a damn Jedi.

okay i'm pretty sure that the pistol is just bugged. it shoots like 5 times in a second... that just doesn't seem right.

haha ya they said combat was faster but... this pistol is shooting like 5times per second. it is like a constant stream of blaster bolts. that to me is unrealistic lol.
But soon that wont matter since soon i'll be using my katana on test
