Thread: Executioner's Hack: Updated
It offers nothing new to Swordsman. In its current form its a waste of development time.
I'm also not so convinced AP3 would be worth shooting for Gabe, could you explain why you think it is?
The only way I can see myself using this weapon is if it had a different damage type.
Dissapointing atm, but I know its only in the early stages

I expect not a lot of people will be happy with that. I'm already in full gear lobbying for some updates. I think AP3 is worth shooting for, but let me know what changes you think should happen or of course, if you like it as it is.
I'm trying hard not to be negative here, so you guys can try to keep to that too. Constructive feedback of whatever sort you can give is what will be most productive (especially when you're not happy). Fortunately the bunker probably will not go live a good while yet so we have lots of time to give feedback.

That is pretty weak, especially in light of the new super TKA weapon. This really needs to be improved. Better range mods, +5/+0/+5 or so, AP3 would be cool.

Ya know if they wanted to give us a Scythe that damages the health pool for hams... why the heck didn't they just throw in a hot fix and change the ham costs of the scythes and move them to that. It can't be that much coding to adjust (can't say fix, because nothing is broken).
I can understand where some of the other professions are coming from with their lack of damage types, and I feel for you as well... but c'mon if you are going to give us new weapons, make them NEW weapons, not a different skin on the almost exact same stats of the one you gave us one month ago. Also, and I know this is going to be reiterated time and time again... we are SWORDSman... give us a big honking excalibur/conan/Cloud sword... something that looks sick when you see a wookiee running around with it... and just damn funny when you see a bothan master heavy swordsman swinging a weapon bigger than him...
I know you guys (devs) have it in you, and we aren't asking for much. If you want to calls us Heavy Armsmen, then great, change our title and go with that... right now you have given us a powerhammer, a scythe (which has to be the most cracked out looking design for a scythe I have ever seen), and a big friggin axe. Great, we have giant weapons and can hurt things really badly with them... as long as those things aren't other players wearing armor that isn't even master level (adv ubese).
I hate to run on such a long rant about the general state of the profession, but this is basically the straw that has broke the camels back. We are SWORDSman, who want to be VIABLE in pvp, while still NOT unbalancing the game.
3 SIMPLE things... change the graphics of the Hack, make it a sword of some type, not a big friggin axe/give us just ONE other damage type (and for gods sake give some love to the pikeman too both of our classes are laughable in any form of "real" pvp), and please please please... give us a little diversity to our specials.
And this is me again, apologizing about ranting about the state of the profession as a whole when it should have been me ranting about just the most current release of the new weapon the devs have been kind enough to bestow upon us. I just feel this weapon, in a nutshell, displays all the things that aren't truly wrong with the profession, just the things that don't feel right all in all about being a heavy swordsman.
hey does it still require the same materials that they scythe did. cuz it woulld be kinda odd that this would require a geono sword core when it would be more of a Reinforced sword core.
but you know for some odd reson i lik eit. it's like a 2-handed axe. slightly more ham But more damage as well. maybe they should increase the speed on this axe to like 4.0 sor so and give it ether a different damage type like maybe heat (so it would be a much quiker and sinpiler way to execute people
) or Cold (g along with the death theme) or hey make this the ever populer Ar3 weapon. and make the cert in like a high lvl in swordman like finese 4 or like offence 4(i mean really axes are all about offence not defence right
)
but ya loving the ham cost on this baby.

umm firstly there are ALOT of weapons coming and i believe our Cloud sword is coming. but yes our specials are mostly exact clones of each other but that was from our profession being rushed out of beta with the rest of them. And they did name our profession wrong we are not Heavy Swordmen and you know what i dont care. if the weapon Looks Cool i will use it. i mean really we have som of the coolest looking weapons. us and pike. thi axe looks awsome i am still loving the scythe and i think there vibro lances and ns lanceslook awsome. the other weapons look bland to me. like that new VK tkas get yes it is strong but it doesn't look cool. and fencers get sticks to swing around lol.
also the scythe was very well designed and if you read the examine screen on it you would have known it was just the blade of teh scythe not what death brings around. cuz if you see the blade part of it is curved slightly.
well i'm just glad new weapons are coming out. and who knows they might make this one usefull for a master swordman
I'm sorry, I'm not playing this game for purely eye candy abilities and things of the nature, if I wanted to do something like that I would just run Aquamark on my computer over and over again...
I would like something to possibly level the playing field just a little bit, but I don't see it coming.

but this was wait i was saying our profession was made to be good in PvE and look awsome while doing this. however we were ment to be able to do somethign in PvP as well and to be able to kill everyone on the same lvl will not happen for us. for armor is way to over powered and buffs as well. not to mention everyone and there brother having a stun weapon to by pass every type of armor unless you get stun layer armor which is extremly heavy.
without armor in pvp we would be balanced against any randge user you would ust need to use tactics to win. however when it gets down to mele fighting we can not pull it off atm since next to every melee profession hat you see someone is that they are a TKM and that is the fact of the matter.
TKM is strong but they were designed for PvP combate as was Fencers. and Swordmen and pikes were more focused to bePvE as it is now. and you know what i much rather be really good in PvE then PvP because right now PvP is so messed up and boring that there is no point to it. and if you really want to be good in PvP then you will just have to pick a PvP profession to gp with swordman. like maybe a range profession or anouther melee profession all untill they rebalance the combate system that is which should be coming soon i believe.
but right now all we can do is wait and these weapons are a sign that the devs are trying even thoguh they arent'getting it right but they are trying to fix the game and give us better weapons
