I was in yet another PVP battle yesterday, defending our base from rebel raids. We see a few rebels coming around the back. My friends open fire, i see a melee enemy running toward us. Seeing as how he was the only one, i went out to meet him. then BAM, im on the floor gettin the sh*t kicked outta me.Nothing more annoying right?

The above is just oneinstance of the annoyance that is KD. Every other melee profession has a kd/dizzy attack except swordsman.But hey, thats just how it is...and i was just wondering what other swordsman have done to try to prevent kd from happening to em. Is there anything that we can do?If not than i strongly feel that there should be something - say bio clothes that add to def vs kd or something. Cuz i am sick and tired of lying on the battlefield, while being beaten - while my ranged buddies have blast.

Well, other than taking other classes (HS has the worst knockdown and posture change defense of all the melee classes), i couldn't say. I would recommend mastering brawler though, with warcry2 you can delay them for 20 seconds, and you know in 20 seconds we can potentially beat the **edit** out of anything. And if you can't beat them, join them. If you have mastered brawler, you can either with your fencer or tka tree dizzy them, and then lunge2 (with the tree you dizzied, or you can switch back to your 2hand weapon for the lunge...)

ihave 115 kd def and basically i never get knocked down

if a tkm spams kd+dizzy on me, i die of health loss from all the charging wampas before i would get kd'd

and that is with tka 4,3,0,4 fencer 4,4,2,0 pikeman 0,0,4,0 and brawler&swordman at master

No, this is not true. Fencers don't have a KD, pikeman don't have a Dizzy. So, how does that make it so that all other melee professions have it? And if we're going to include master brawler, then swordsman has it too, area3+lunge2.

By the kd/dizzy i mean either kd, or dizzy. I just found out today that two hand hit 3 actually does have a chance of dizzying...so in combination with area 3 we have a kd. But still, that chance is still low.

Be sure to center yourself before going in to battle.

If you see someone with a VK, it is IMPERITIVE that you Warcry them right away. You're right, Swordsman has awful KD/Dizzy defense. Warcry is your best friend. 10s is more than enough to finish off any TKM

You could get your choice of defensive line from the other melee professions to boost your defenses. Fencer is the most efficient use of your skill points for defense. By far. All the melee stats.

if you are commited to brawler then rape fencer and tk.

get all their KD defense and defense mods.

then use your sword
