Thread: BREAK POINTS?
I am interested in WHAT the break points are for SWORDSMAN.
I heard that there is an additional +15 to SPEED after you hit MASTER.
Are there others you can increase?
Because I have been buying up a ton of SEA's
There are +skill-mods all the way through Swordsman. Just press Ctrl+S the next time you're in game, hit the Professions tab and look up Swordsman.
No idea if thats what you mean though..
Ok here is what I have heard.
I am sure you all know that Pistol/Rifles do not need to worry about weapon speed when they all hit MASTER. This is because they have hit the BREAK POINT. It is a spot where they can not improve this skill/attribute any more.
A Master Swordsman has 75 Two Hand Speed (when all is said and done). What I have been hearing is that the BREAK POINT for 2Hand Swords occurs at +90 2Hand Speed. The +15 is a HUGE difference.
What I am asking:
Is this true?
If so...
Can I get other S.E.A attachments to boost my other 2Hand sword skill so that I max out their potential?

does anybody know if the speed cap thing for all the classes is still in the process of being put in, or was it dropped and forgotten?
I think that was just an "in-concept" idea that Q suggested. Definately hasn't been implemented, and no idea if it will be in future.
Quick lesson on break points -
Breakpoints are something I remember from my days of diablo2 expansion, you needed increased attack speedmods (like skill tapes) that would improve your fps, if you had 120IAS you could shoot 4-5fps which meant A LOT of arrows as an amazon. Or with a barbarian you would need so much IAS to make yourself whirlwind once a second or so.
Basically waht he is looking for are the speed breaks where you can get your weapon to swing once a second once every two seconds once every 3 seconds.
And what the math is concerning weapon speed and how quickly you can attack in relation to your over all speed skill.
I am not that good at math so I can't help ya, but for some of the math whizzes out there, this is the idea he is going after.
If you have a power hammer with speed 5.4 and sliced for damage (35% slice) you need to get a 2 handed speed mod of 92 and then you cap at 1 hit per second when using head hit 3 (delay of 2.25). And for 2 handed hit 3 (delay 2.5)you need a speed mod of 93 to get at 1 attack per second. normal standard attack would require speed mod 84 to get at 1 attack every second with the weapon i'm talking about.
example:
powerhammer (after slice):
181-626
speed 5.4
=> you hit for 1614.6 points on average every second with a 92 speed mod and using head hit 3(damage multiplier 4).
Greets
Kriffith
These figures are for hit3 or any special with a 2.5x time multiplier:
5.4s powerhammer,speed caps at 1 second with speed +93
3.4s cleaver,speed caps at 1 second with speed +89
2.5s 2h curved sword,speed caps at 1 second with speed +84
Speed +100 is not required to reach thelimit. With speed +95, your weapon delay would have to be 8 seconds to be slower than 1 second with specials... and I don't know of any Swordsman weapons that slow, unless they are loot or something.
