Thread: How do I kill the elderly?

I hear a lot about how swordsman solo Nightsister Elders and Krayts, but everytime I try I fall short. My template is Master Swordsman and Master Doctor. It seems that my biggest weakness is always my mind. I have my mind stats as high as possible, I drink two sips of brandy, I eat canape, the COB macro is always in effect, I also have good composite armor.
If someone could tell me exactly what it is they do to be so successful it would be a huge help and greatly appreciated!

Intimidate every 30 seconds and spam HeadHit3 with your hammer. Takes abiout 45 for me without mods, under 15 at the speed cap.

only thing i can think of is your COB macro ... have a break in it. To be honest you don't need it. Just need your mind hits on the enemy ... and to use strong stimpacks ... to heal yourself. You should be fine that way.
Use mind hit and head hit, no need for COB

Forget using canape, get some 33 filling ahrisa and good brandy drink 3 ahrisa and 2 brandy, make sure duration on both is about 42-45 minutes. Your mind will never drop down very far and by the time the brandy and ahrisa wear off, your stomache is completely empty.
Also, always keep an eye on the condition of all your pieces of armor, resists begin to drop if it gets too low. A good set of at least 80% comp should do fine. Always keep the intimidate on. Using this method it takes me about 15 minutes to kill elders and I never even use a stimpack.

Dont use canape....Use Arisa...On the Ahazi server, the average boost is 415 to focus for about 45 minutes...Canape is only good for abou 12-15 minutes

The COB macro is as good as gone. I'm going to try everything you've all mentioned. Thanks everyone!

Just pull it and start whacking at it's mind.. 30 minutes later it's dead. Less if you have speed cap.
Just use 2 brandy's and use one canape as needed. Don't even use CoB.
Maybe use a 33 mind 16 speed 8 damage pup if you are having more mind than health problems.

I am the following, Master Swords (no speed mods), Master Brawler and Novice Medic.
All I do is the following, before battle have some ashira out ready to use on hotkey as well as some brandy. Take my powerups out of the crates and have them in my inventory and also have my stim b's on hotkey, suit up in my composite armor and equip my power hammer. Then before attacking in goes 2 brandy and 3 ashira and the power ups on my weapon. At the start the Elder normally has some friends to help out, so I intim 2 the elder and make about 5 stick then I stand using spin2 and keep doing that till his friends die. If ever the intim 2 wears off I clear combat queue and apply more intim 2's to the elder. If my health ever goes down I just use a stim b or 2 (it only evers goes down slightly when the elder has his friends around or 2 elders go me). Once I have the Elder's friends killed and looted I then drag the elder away from the area a little in case his friends respawn. Now it's time to work the Elder, again more intim 2's then head hit 3 repetatively. If the intim 2 wears off I just reapply as intim's always need to be applied and continue to head hit 3. Now it's just a matter of keeping on eye on:
a) your food, if it wears off hit the hotkey's
b) making sure the elder is intimidated
c) your armor to make sure it does get destroyed
d) keep an eye on your powerup, as soon as the message comes up that it has expired goto your inventory and put a new one on
e) make sure to use head hit 3 and watch the elder's mind diminish
If any of his pesky friends come back swith back to the spin 2 until the are dead making sure to keep the elder intimidated. Once the are dead and looted then go back to killing the elder.
The time it all takes depends on weapon speed, the powerup your using and your mods. To work out which weapon to use just write down the stats of your power hammers with the powerup's you will be using equiped then just use a dps calculator to find out which one is the best to use.

generally, to kill the elderly, I just follow these easy steps:
1.) Get a fat suit, a wheelchair, and a wrinkly skin mask/makeup kit. Stash your Power Hammer inside the fat suit, and any stims you need in the basket of the wheelchair, itll look like your meds.
2.) Make sure you're buffed in case things get ugly
3.) Check into the local assisted living center and hang around in the bingo room for a couple of hours.
4.) As soon as the bingo game begins, wait 3 minutes then yell bingo in your best old person voice.
5.) When you're wheeled up to the announcer to see if you really have a bingo, pull off the fat suit and stuff the stims in your pocket, its go time.
6.) Proceed to spam headhit3 with a CoB macro initiated. The room should be cleared in no time. Grab the Metamucil XS schematic from the corpse of the bingo announcer and hightail it out of there, the spawn times are quick.
As long as you follow these easy steps, you should be rich in bingo chips and Metamucil XS schematics in no time. Happy Hunting!
