Just thought about this, I am finishing my build on a MHS template (MHS/ Fencer 4440/Pistoleer 0040/Carbineer 0020) And have a CM/Doc Alt. I am thinking that with the recent change this may be the best way to go about Hunting NS again. Any thoughts? Maybe drop CM and go with Rifleman? I want to kepp the doc back a bit to lessen the need to heal him and stay healing my MHS. Thoughts/Suggestions?

Im not sure about that template....Either SOE royally screwed up the damage when they re-introduced the NPC specials, or they intend for you to have a group of 20 or more to take out and elder now.

I did my normal thing today....Loaded my MRM/MHS toon and my doc alt on Dath, buffed my combat toon and went out to see how nasty they had made elders. Fought through a couple of spwans off Stalkers, Outcasts, and Spellweavers/Protectors who did nothing but spam TKM moves on me. Ok, no big deal...that's why I have Stim Ds...still, didn't have to use very many. Finally found me an elder. I was standing 122m away, pulling food and stims out of crates, along with some spice, just in case, when she aggroed me. By the time she'd closed to 50m, running at about Mach 30, I had been one-hit incapped and was flat on my back. At 20m, I was was DB'd. Then she turned around and warped back to her original posistion.

I took a couple of screens, but can't post, as they are at home on the desktop. If I get time, Ill post them tonight. The elder's one and only attack hit me for in excess of 19k damage. Combat spam said that my armor stopped 8.9kish of dam, which I cant figure, since my armor is 80/80/90-base, and each piece was over 30k cond. After flying my doc out and rezzing my self, thenrebuffing...I tried again. This time, she didn't aggro until I hit her with a bleed shot. But again, before she got w/i 50m of me, I was incapped and summarily DB'd. Both times she used the same force power on me...name esacpes me now, but it's in the combat spam. The 2nd one-hit incap hit for 17k of dam.

Anyhow, I hope this is some kind of bug, ask 300k mobs that spam 19k hits is NOT fun.

CM/TKA alt would be better. To heal your own mind wounds.

Do elders agro you as soon as you desease/poison them? If not I assume the best way to "solo" one is to put on desease/poison and sit back and conceal shot till its dead with rifleman. If they do the best way is probably to sit back and conceal shot them with rifleman.

Yes, Poison causes agro, I was thinking of having my MHS Tank, and the alt provide support for it.

Between the three mind hitting Profs, it should provide a decent advantage. I hope...
