Thread: Master Doc + Swords / TKM

I am currently a Master Doctor, and I'm going to keep Master Doctor because I love buffing and such. So my question is basically TKM (which I am right now) or Master Swordsman?


I do a lot of PVP, and a lot of PVE, but need to focus more on the PVP aspect of things....


Any help is appreciated.

hmmmmmmm if your all about PvP its tkm im currently swordsman because theyre freaking tanks and theyre krayt killaz well its really your choice if i wear u id do both

Swordsman i currently pointless in PVP.


Nodecent special attacks and no decent weapons for it.

Dizzy isn't reliable enough and a decent helmet stops you hammering their mind.

The only thing you can do is kick off intimidate and centre of being and take damage to stop someone else taking it.


TKM gets lots of nice state attacks

One handed gets the stun baton.

Polearms gets nice weapons with powerful Dots.


And we Get, Dizzy that barely works and no weapons worth equiping in PVP

well TKM may have the states, but ALOT of people have doc skills (icluding me).So there goes states.Forget wound healing from the meditation line cause your a doc.So the last good thing is prolly FOW and powerboost.And they only do kinetic damage so no damage variation there.

Fencer, no AP in any of the weapons.Now that everyone is on their toes about stun damage, that no AP kicks in and cuts your damage by half.Then most people who are really onto stun protection have about 40% stun resistance.So it's a real take down on your damage despite the fact that it doesent do much anyway (unless it has an awesome slice and it's acklay or something).Defense mods, yeah really something.Until someone sticks a good intimidate on you.But your a doc so it really wont matter unless you ran out of cure intimidate stims.So thats pretty good for tanking,but damage isnt all that great IMO.

Swordsman, my prefference.Blast damage off a hammer is great for base/factional situations (and now with the AT-ST NERF, the medium piercing will slice right through one if your a rebel).PvP wise it's ok.The hammer lets for some damage type variation.The speedy and powerful damage on a scythe can in way break through constant stacking on mind buffs (this from experiences in duels).If your hammer is fast enough, you can prolly cap with it.Although we have no straight out dizzy move, a few moves have pretty solid chances of sticking on a dizzy.But remember, many people have doc skills anyway.

Pikeman, I dont know much about.Pretty slow at first (i know cause I'm a master brawler).And from what I've seen/noticed/heard they are very dependant on loot, but i really preffer to try it myself before i judge.So theres nothing i can really give you on Pikeman.

This info is based on experiences i had and does not cover every possible situation.So it's just my 2 credits as they would say.
