Thread: Swordsman vs. Jedi.

I'm a Bounty Hunter, and I'm looking to use my skillpoints in a melee profession. Swordsman is a lot of fun so far, and I'm just wondering how I would do vs a Jedi. Should I drop it and try for something else?

depends on the jedi really, IMO tk works better vs. jedi because they never miss and are better at getting them to do the flop flop flop

Speaking as a Jedi and Swordsman, I would say forget swords if you want to kill Jedi. Teras Kasi is the way to go.

If you stack with Swordsman, its deadly as hell against anything. Otherwise I wouldnt recommend it.

I can state from experience that if a factioned Jedi attacks you then there is nothing you can do about it as a Swordsman. I am a Master Swordsmen, Master TKA, and Master Brawler with side skills in Polearm and Fencer. After trying seveal combination of hits on the Jedi I was slayed. It was not due to my inablity to defend my self as I have good armour, good weapons, was buffed, had taken foods...It was a simple fact that a Jedi who is a high enough level cankill players at ease.
Let me state that I did not choose to fight a Jedi, or any player as I do not do PVP. I was just hunted down for the kill. Now really it is that big of an ego boots to kill a player whom is far below your level? I would say it is equivalent to killing a person who is new.....they simply have no chance! Getting killed by a skilled player is one thing, but getting killed by some elite Jedi for the demented fun of it is uncalled for!

As a master heavy swordsman and a master doctor I was able to defeat a dark jedi knight in 2 of 3 duels. If the jedi uses the polearm sabe I was able to win because I could heal his damage in an instant and was able to force him to drain his force by healing states and his mind pool as I went to town on it, was doing enough damage at the end where he wasn't able to be offensive.
Now this was just a duel, in a normal pvp fight the jedi would have most likely taken off. I think swords works well against them with the right compliment.

swordsmans one of the few professions that can kill a high level jedi, i have a 1020 max dmg hammer and +103 2h spd and i can do more damage to a jedi then their heals can keep up with, likewise if i PvP with my jedi i try to avoid swordsman who i know are good and have the equipment

Yeah, when all the Jedis were wearing Composite armor, the blast damage weakness worked to our advantage, swinging power hammers. I don't know what kind of protection they get now with the robes.

yes sir. TK is the way to go. Besides, you have to remember that Teras Kasi was designed to keep the Jedi in check. and it was designed that way inthis game too. The way i hear it, Jedi get owned by TK.

Robes don't provide any protection at all, they only give a slight increase to our force pool and force regeneration. Force Armor 1 is about 25% protection against all incoming attacks...Force armor 2 is about 45%. No vulnerabilities, works for melee & ranged attacks.

I am a master Sworsman/4 4 4 3 Doc,
I have done nothing but hunt jedi since they fixed droids (I team with a BH)
I can say this from experience, it totally depends on the level of the Jedi.
Solo,a high level jedi will probablybeat you if they know how to PvP.
But I have put a beatdown on several mid level Jedimyself (the noobsa re not worth mentioning).
If you want to be an uberjedi killer, go TKA / Fencer and group with a BH.
If you just wanna have alot of fun, go swords/BH.
The fact that not to many people PvP as swordsman is also kind of cool.
