Thread: Is is swords that I need?

I'm currently climbing the BH tree and I'm looking for another profession to help with close combat and PvP when I get to MBH, as some missions will be against Jedi of any ranking and I beleive they laugh in the face of ranged combat??
Would you recommendSwordsman as the profession of choice to back up MBH for this purpose?

there aren't enough points to do master swordsman if you do Master Bounty Hunter i'm afraid, not that i'm aware of. Make yourself a better bounty hunter and take Pistoleer....it offers some good melee defense in there too for a ranged profession and it'll make you great with pistol speed and accuracy with some pretty powerful pistol moves. Thats my recommendation anyways...

Actually you do have enough skillpoints to master swordsman along with being master bounty hunter.
This i possible since you no longer need to be master scout in order to pick up novice bounty hunter, all you need now is the exploration tree.
On the question about swordsman beeing the profession you need in order to take down those annoying jedi i would say no.
From what i have read and heard Master Fencer or Master TK should be a better way to go. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.
if you decide not to go master BH i would go with master TK and dabble a bit in fencer for extra defences.
Anyway swordsman isn't the best PvP profession out there imho, so go with either fencer or tk.

Its well established from all the jedi that i know that they easilly slaughter ALL ranged classes, to beat a jedi you generally need fencer or TKA.

Thanks again for the tips, I'll keep my fencer skill then and try for the master profession.
