I just got the game tonight, so while i wait for the patches to download, I wanted to ask a few questions about this profession

ok here it goes

1. How does a swordsman match up against a fencer? Aside from the different weapons, what makes both classesunique?


2. What is the overall best 2 hand sword for most purposes? Best overall 1 handed sword?


3. Does this skill have anymajor bugs that make it nearly unplayable?


4. What are some good complimentary professions for the swordsman?


5. Whats a "power hammer"? I don't know if i got the name right. If not, its the sword you get at Novice Swordsman.

So far, the 2H Curved Sword is the most powerful. The recent patch may have changed that. We're waiting to see on that. For 1H, it's either the Curved Sword or the Rykk blade.

2.Does this skill have anymajor bugs that make it nearly unplayable?

Not that I"ve noticed.

3. What are some good complimentary professions for the swordsman?

The Rifleman profession works really well, b/c both Rifleman and (Heavy) Swordsman can specifically target the Mind Pool. I like to stack two MindShots, use a Headshot, and then when the mob closes in, use HeadHits until it dies.

4. Whats a "power hammer"? I don't know if i got the name right. If not, its the sword you get at Novice Swordsman.

Power Hammer is the "elite" weapon for the Swordsman class. So far I have only seen very weak ones. One guy posted a very powerful one that has been created post-patch. <crosses fingers> Here's hoping.
