Thread: Is the CLEAVER better than the 2H sword since the patch!!!
The cleaver is better than it was, but not significantly. It only gets the benefits of one of the two advanced sword cores.
Even though damage is getting close to the 2h curved sword, it's still far behind in terms of speed.
I saw a post-patch cleaver with 44 DPS unmodified. My pre-patch sword is 42 DPS unmodified.
The speed on the cleaver was slower (3.5) but the minimum damage was significantly higher than the 2h curved, so that brought it up pretty well.
Real question is if post-patch curved swords are now worse.
I just bought a new two-handed cleaver, here is the stat:
- Attack speed : 3.4
- Armor
I just bought a new two-handed cleaver, here is the stat:
- Attack speed : 3.4
- Armor Piercing : Medium
- Damage : Min 118 / Max 249
- Wound : 44%
- Cost : 55/54/36
I have compared it with 2h curved swords, cleaver should be better in lower cost and higher damage...
Two Handed Cleaver Build maxed on damage with Advanced sword core(stats 21 min, 21 max, speed -0.31, wound 6, attack mods 8/8/8, hams 4/4/4)
damage: 81-199
speed:3.7
wound:38.3
range mods:-9/-9/-9
H/A/M:47/44/27
Two Handed Curved with same builds
Damage:40-220
speed:2.9
wound:32.2
range mods:+6/+6/+6
H/A/M:28/61/33
These are post big patch numbers. Made with superior materials on the Curved and so so materials on the cleaver. Advanced sword core made with so so materials. Master Weaponsmith builds, unsliced. Hope this helps some.
A master weaponsmith-made advanced sword core with 21-21/-.36? You all must have some TERRIBLE dolovite iron.... mine are 46-46/-.602.
