Thread: P7 going to TC now...some interesting Patch notes

These are a few notes I thought were interesting in relation to Brawlers and Melee fighters in general.






Professions: SmugglerThe delay effect of panic shot will break on damage to the target.

Professions: Brawler Warcry 1&2: Changed the warcry status effect to break when the target takes damage and using the warcry ability will not change your combat target.


Pets Added additional checks for invalid pets. Invalid pets (stats out of acceptable range, incorrect level for stats, etc) will not be able to called from the Datapad.


Grouping Players will now receive a system message when a group member loots an item from a corpse.


Changed /activateClone to only work while dead


Added a cap to defensive skill mods (block, dodge & counterattack) to prevent near invulnerable defenders.


Fixed inverted ToHit modifiers. (Melees now get correct ToHit bonus when attacked targets with ranged weapons, Food Accuracy & Dodge Buffs now work correctly


Medical enhancements can now be replaced if the new one is of equal or greater strength. As a result there is no longer a need to wait out a previous enhancement in order to replace it with something better.







Smugglers are getting nerfed as well, so at least it was fair. Warcry will still be okay, just used differently now. We still dont *really* know how it will work, as it will take some testing in different situations to get a firm grip on how it will work. But theoretically, this could be a way to escape from combat. Warcry and quickly /peace so the critter cant attack (since you are no longer attacking it) then run away. It could also help avoid getting swarmed by social creatures by freezing some of the ones you are not attacking yet. Further Modifications: Make Warcry an AoE effect, NOT a cone. Melee mobs will circle you when attacking, and a cone effect will not effect many of them...maybe one of the 3 in the front 90 degree arc (not including your active target of course).


Group looting notification...woot! Pets...well, bummer to all those who bought the BE exploited pets. Defensive Caps...notice they STILL haven't told us what those caps are. Stat mods work right? Can it be true??!!


Buffing improved, YAY! So if someone ninja buffs you with something crappy, your more skilled Doc can "copy over" the buff with a better one. This will also mean Docs will likely have to adjust their pricing. I know that if I get a Buff less than 2k, I'll ask them to try again. My goal woudl be to get a buff of at least 2k in each stat, and now they can buff the same stat over and over till I am happy with the results. Now if they woudl just let use remove all buffs if we want. The new buff window is spiffy, but we still needa way to remove a buff early of we want. What if there is 29 minutes left on a really great Doc buff, and I want to refresh it now so I can join the group leaving for a new destination in 5 minutes? I'd still have to do the DB/Rez thing. I liked /activateCLone...I wish it stayed in.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

Oh my god!!!!!! Dude, no one is going to be a Pistoleer now unless they are BH's. I came from Pistoleer on to Swordsman. Pistoleer is a lame class now even with working panic shot from smuggler. They target the health and action pools of a target with low damage weapons. They were only good with pre-nerf FWG 5's. Even with those and when I am knocked down and panic shotted they can't do anything to 80% armor. The devs want us all to be creature handlers again.

In case the pic doesn't work, it's a krayt Geonosian sonic blaster,powered up to 151-514 @ 1.9s


Is it just me, or are they indirectly nerfing armor by making stun weapons more powerful and widespread?

Rofl, I will trade my scythe for that any day. However, what about smugglers? All of their specials suck now except for low blow.

nah, smugglars have the most damaging attacks for pistol even more so than pistoleer. Last ditch is still uber. Low blow useful. Due to coding panic shot and warcry are the same... so nerfing one will nerf the other. Plus with the combat revamp they are getting mods added to their skills.


Anyone still relying on eyeshot to win in pvp is a noob. With brandy and canape, and muon.... i'd sooner kill you with a gnort than you kill me with eyeshot.


So far i like what i see.

I cant believe that they are not capping Melee / Ranged Defense as well. Is it just cut out from this snippet of the patch notes? Or are they truly not getting rid of Melee and Ranged D stacking? Even with my 190 Counterattack and decent Melee and Ranged Defense, Rifleman / TKA / Fencers were not onlyhardfor me to hit, but hit me almost every time while I was in CoB. If im reading this right, this will demolish PvP as we know it.

wait wait so are they telling us that ifwe attack a creature with 19s left on there delay, it breaks the delay and they can attack again? that ruins everything. stop mind effing us devs.

ok so one of our ONLY saving graces is being buggerd all to heck... counter attack.
Since we swordsmen are so underpowered I took carbine counter insergency to make up for our lack of defense and to get my damage output up to somthing almost sorta kinda near a TKA. So what now? whats gonna go next for us?

Oh i know... the devs dont like posture changes either from what ive been seeing..
So i think next those are going... witch makes our 6 usless moves ...what? MORE USLESS? oh wait you meen you actually use AOE3?? Well were gonna be left with 2 viable moves at master for a while.

Wait till the combat revamp... and please dont be angry your character you spent hard earned CASH and time on is gonna SUCK EVEN WORSE...Just keep paying for your account.

well im getting closer and closer to the end of my rope with this game.

I hear th next ultima is gonna be good... howbout worlds of Warcraft?
Least blizzard doesnt release games until AFTER they beta test them.

this game is one of the bigger dissapointments of my gaming career.

Is this what I think it is?? Does this mean my -39 Powerhammer will become a +39 powerhammer or is this just that bonus to hit ranged business?


Anyone have an idea of how good this bonus is?

Raider, im sure you know, but in case some people dont look at the pic and only read your post. There is a +103 max dmg. powerup on that gun. Still looks mighty sweet though :-)

Yeah I thought it was important to note it had a powerup, which is whyI described it asa krayt Geonosian sonic blaster,powered up to 151-514 @ 1.9s .............. nasty gun, I sure wouldn't want to have it pointed at me :]
