Thread: Give Me Animation or Give me Death
Right now i would settle for them giving us animations for our moves that look good.
i meen, **edit**, our standard attack is what?
poke....
poke....
poke....
.
.
.
poke....
spin...(maybe sometimes rarely)
.
.
.
Guess what?
.
.
.
poke some more
Maybe more people would play our character if they saw us as spinning leaping slicing balls of death. But untill then, well continue poking people with our swords, with our hammers (this is funny to watch)
Can we at least look better?
/agree
I like some of the animations, but some are just plain boring to watch. I was especially stunned to see Area3 had the same animation as Area2.
/agree 100%
Poking something with a powerhammeris just wrong, that's gotta change. And thrusting isn't really right for a 2h sword, either- historically it just wasn't done that often, because it was alot more effective to swing it around with power and speed, possibly countering multiple attackers at once, rather than just one, as a thrust does. And when a thrust was done, it was done with one hand only, for better range of motion... weak.Leave sword thrust animationstotally out of 2h swordsman, they should be in Fencer.
The standard attacks should use 2 or 3 simple strike animations, used randomly for variety.
What I'd really like are improved animations for the Head hits. They should reflectthe fact thatthey are supposed to target the enemy's head:
Head hit 1: a simplestrikeat the head area
Head hit 2: a swift, sideways strike to the head level
Head hit 3: swordsman jumps into the airwith the sword brought back over the right shoulder, and executes a devastating diagonal strike to the head
