I've been asking myself this after blowing about 120k on multiple hammers trying to get a 30% or higher damage slice (8 hammers, highest I got was a 25% speed slice from a master smuggler). They'reroughlytwice the damage and speed of a Curved Two-Handed Sword and both are AP2. The biggest flaw with the Power Hammer is the low accuracy modifier (-32) compared to the sword (+7). This results in an awful lot of misses, which hurts since the weapon isn't very fast.

It's the only non kinetic dmg weapon we have. So yeah keep one on ya.

I think when your accuracy are speed are both high, the power hammer really, really, comes into its own.
