Thread: Ultimate PVE melee template

I'm thinking of starting a new toon, just for hunting big game, and would like some feedback. I'm at work now, so cant use a character builder, but i have some basic concepts. I want M heavy swordsman, some carbineer to cap counterattack, some either rifleman or tka to cap melee defense, and some good medic skills.
Anything else i'm missing?

From what i've heard, most M. swordsman templates for hunting big game are all melee:
For example M Swords / M brawler / fencer 4400 / tka 4004 / pikeman 0040 / medic is one of the more powerful templates
Afterall it is up to you what you do with your toon, i'd suggest rereading the thousands of "pve template" threads out there for other people's opinions.

Defence doesnt matter when fighting the bigger mobs like NS Elders and so on, they will hit you anyway. So no need for high def. for PvE templates. Statusdefences matter more then.

Not true. There is a big difference between have 125 melee defense and 20 melee defense when fighting things like krayt dragons or ns elders. I get hit almost twice as much now that I've dropped all that extra melee defense.

This is what I have, works great for PvE & PvP, plus I wear no armor when hunting game.
Teras Kasi Master - Master Swordsman - Master Brawler - Novice Fencer - Novice Medic (get some good stim b's)- Scout 3-0-1-0 (for terrain navigation and harvesting)
I fight everything with my scythe sword or power hammer, depending on what kind of damage I need to inflict (area attacks from swordsman are nice). I switch between the lunges and KD's from the different professions to keep Nightsisters on the ground, and will wear bio-clothes for xtra stun & bleed defenses.
