Thread: Sob Hate to do it but I have to give up my Swordsman

I do not PvP all the time, but I do it frequently enough that I have grown weary of being killed by poison and disease or because I had to go into battle unbuffed because there were no Docs around. And while I love my 2H weapons for PvE, I am a rifleman at heart and mostly use my rifle for PvP. Therefore, I have decided to go MRM/Master Doc and, as oflast night, am now only 1 skill and Novice away from no longer being a Swordsman. Making this decision was one of the toughest decisions I have made in the game because Swordsman, especially when combined with Master Brawler, is brutal. And while I use my rifles more for PvP, I almost exclusively fight in PvE as a Swordsman. But I have told you guys that before.

I truly love this profession, but I cannot achieve the goals I need to accomplish and keep it. And I wanted to thank you all for your insights into this profession.

I truly hate hanging up "the Hammer of Death," but I must. I will look in on you from time to time, but after tonight, I will be one of you only in spirit. Good luck to you all.

Wow, tough decision. Thanks for training me that one time in Theed on Sunday, just before I made Master. I'm going Rifle too, no doubt it will not be as fun to grind as Swordsman was. Good luck.

Kind of funny how Master Doc turned out, it seems more and more people going this route, then add their fav combat class to it. I think they envisioned CMs on the front lines and Docs in the rear, but its now the other way around.

I had to drop Master Doctor (which I have been since July) for Master Swordsman and it was the toughest decision I've had to make in this game so far.

I dropped MCH for master doc , and i thought it would of been a hard desicion, but with the pets just plain sucking, it was not that hard, the only thing i miss is been able to pull those 27k missions.

Since I usually run around with Novice Marksman title so as not to give away too much information to the enemy, I have not had as many requests for Swordsman or Rifleman training as I did when I wore my Master Scout title before I had to give it up for Swordsman. Therefore, I usually only get requests from people who know me, so I am glad I was able to help you in any way I could. Ironically, however, because of the Novice Marksman title, I gota lot of requests to be trained even though I had no place to spend my 1 remaining skill point. Itis alwaysfunny, upon joining a group, seeing unsolicited training dialog boxes pop up because someone in the group saw the Novice Marksman title and decided to do a "driveby" training.

If you are keeping Swordsman, you will enjoy the combination with Rifleman. I certainly have.

Your comments about the role reversal is pretty good. I think you are right.

Good luck. Give me a tell if you need Rifleman training. If I am on, I will help if I can.
