Thread: Does anyone use the 2-handed cleaver?

there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with it....
decent damage not as good as the scythe but maybe a nice alternative
decent speed
decent ham costs
why do you do or do not use it?
(besides answeringi have an uber scythe)

I personally use my 2 handed cleaver all the time. I was lucky enough to get a good slice on it, so my stats are:
Speed : 3.4
Damage 144-345
Range: -5 -6 -5
HAM: 45 46 20

I use mine all of the time. I only use my scythe when I get swarmed by mobs while unbuffed (like klikniks). Sure it takes a little longer to finish off mobs, but I'm here to have fun

To be honest, I've never used one because I've never found one that beats a 2-handed curved sword. Most I've seen do barely more damage than the curved, but have a slower attack speed which makes it not worth it in the end.

The nice thing about the cleaver vs. the 2 hand is it has a nice min damage, where the sword has terrible min damage. I think the cleaver is also an excellent looking weapon, I would love to see an improved version of it.

Heh I use a 2handed axe more than the cleaver... You can actually use Acklay bones on the axe and get a MEAN MEAN minimum. If you have good resorces (check with a weaponsmith on what you need) IVe seen some NASTY 2handed axes with like 300min... its crazy. Melee mitigation dont mean squat to those bad boys. So yeah 2handed axes are better than those...
I suppose another question is ... Does anyone use a vibro axe???

So 2 handed curved sword and 2 Handed cleaver is worthless at master swordsman
What a waste for such cool looking weapons
The scytche is pretty cool too but its so amazingly hard to make and get, and it will eventually get destroyed from the condition drops!
Im just not a fan of power hammer

intersting. wanna post stats of your axe(es) and what bones u used in them?

ya know i completely forgot about the vibro axe.......... hmmm must look into that....
JESUS swordsman have like 7 weapons to choose from including the executioners hack, when that goes live (not counting the heavy axe cause that weapon isjust dumb) we have the most of any melee profession
id like to see stats on the vibro axe and everyones cleaver too
ive got some rancor teeth that would make a mean cleaver
7/105 30 wound and not bad neg acc mods and +.5 to speed
ill post stats when i get my weapons made

I love the Cleaver, I carry it all the time, here's all the ones I use:
- Regular: 3.4 101-220 44.7% (122-266 damage sliced)
- Rancor: 5.1 64-227 45.9% (80-283 damage sliced)
- Rancor (Bile Soaked): 4.3 74-242 56.9% (86-283 damage sliced)
- Geonosian (no cube): 3.6 92-204 42.2% (2.5 speed sliced)
The Geonosian one has a +6 ideal range, so I can land more hits with consistant damage (usually 1600+ headhit2 and 1300+ healthhit2), the Rancor ones has way negative ranges like -27 or so. Can't wait for a yellow cube Cleaver...

Yup, and completely pointless since all but one of them do kinetic damage.
I use my cleaver a lot. I have one that is 2.2 speed and 101-223 damage, and one with a ranc tooth that is like 350+ max damage and 3.5 speed. I use them more than my scythes cause they were cheap.
I use a two-hand curved to beat up on lairs.
