there doesn't seem much noticedable difference except spin attack 2 compared to area attack 3, is slightlyfaster... well the time delay is more on the area attack 3, butwith a fast enough sword or enough speed tapes theres not noticeable difference between the two as they do the same dmg

Spin attack 3 has dizzy and a posture change...but spin attack 2 is faster

Can someone post here if there are other "undocumented" states on other specials, because (I might be mistaken) but I don't recall saying something about dizzy on spin attack 3. I'm new to this profession, sorry.

Actually, there is a documented state on spin attack 3. Take a look at the description in your skill tree.

Of course, it's the -wrong- state which is documented...it says blind, when in fact that attack does dizzy.

Area attack has a chance to posture down where spin attack does not. so although they both have the same damage mod (spin is slightly faster) the posture down makes up the difference as hitting something while kneeling or prone is much higher damage (i believe extra 50%)

Bear in mind that if you hit a kneeling target with a posture down attack it will stand up again (provided you caused it to kneel in the first place).

To my delight, I discovered this right after getting 2hArea3....I kept seeing the little "dizzy" icon and was thinking "Now **edit** is this nonsense?" Then the Jantas all fell over and began to twitch. Swordsman is great. I have done every combat prof, and it is far and away, my favorite melee prof.

Agreed. That's why I've come back permanently =)
