Witch one is better or are they simular ?
Like the look off the pikeman but i dont whant to end up getting a profession witch only gets me frustrated ....

lol.dude heavy swordsmen is like the melle version of commando,plus hs does really nice mind daamge and sorta nice bleeds,h ell the bleeds used to be bad a ss till the devs nerfed it.

Devs nerfed fire too so in comparison to every other non CM DoT, bleeds still are badass.

I was a Master Pikeman for quite a while and am mastering Swordsman now (for keeps).
Pikeman is a LOT of fun. One of the best parts of the profession is the closeness of the community on the boards and on each server. There's a feeling you get from being a Master Pikeman. Like you're unique and part of something. People sort of remember you because Pikeman isn't that popular.
Swordsman has mind damage, that's a big plus. Pikeman has some amazing area attacks that include dizzy and knockdown andall around havea nice selection of well workingspecials. Also, with Pikeman, your arsinal of weapons is kept pretty simple. You have the vibro lance (electricity damage) and the long vibro axe (kenetic) as your standard weapons. When I was a pikeman I kept two of each on me, one of each sliced for speed and damage. After that you can keep a few nightsister lances on you. I had a few that do damage over time. One for fire andone for poison. And of course, you can go for the energy lance. Probably the most difficult weapon to obtain in the game.
One thing to remember is that pikeman are still in the queue to get some loving from the devs. I would expect some attention on the pikeman in short order. Also, the devs have said the combat revamp will shift the focus so that winning a fight isn't all about attacking the mind pool. Depending on how long you plan to keep this profession, howwill pikeman and swordsman comparein 3 months from now?
All in all both are fun. I think, so far, I had enjoyed pikeman more because it gave me an identity. I'm enjoying the climb to Master Swordsman right now simply because I know I won't drop it (just stopped the hologrind).

OMG
I wouldn't begin against a pikeman who has camped ns like 2-3 months
even with fencer,brawler,swords
They dot you to death

Im master swords atm, but doing master bralwer (for intim 2 and lunge 2) and pikeman, but i havent got round to grinding either cos swords is so good for loot. i have looted 13 NS lances/LVA's ina few days, 7 of which are the basic NS lances, but i got some other cool ones.
best one ive got i had to buy (for under 200k). Has 263 mind poison damage, with43% potency, ive yet to try it in PvP, but it hits often

Lol, for PvE the Swords Own...now PvP is a pikemans home...IF they have the NS lances With Mind poisons... I had several when I did pike, they are on the wall now, lol, and one 184s Mind poison from a random Janta spawn.
