ok ive just got techniques 3 and wondering what i should get next, should i go for techniques 4? or start on my offense for area attack? thanking you in advance your good pal sendenn.

Go for techniques 4 definitely. The extra 15 speed is really helpful.
I got defence next for a couple of reasons.
I like spin attack 2. Come down Bastion (I'm on Farstar too) and smack gurke lairs all day with it. They don't run away, and about a billion of them pop out of the wild nests and drop for 3800 - 4600xp if you're grouped with a crappy pet/droid.
All the defences (state defences as well as melee and ranged def) help, as does mitigation 2 which you get at defence 3.

ok thanks, yes i will be coming down bastion soon neway coz im guna join tdv, my mate is in there and im waiting until i get a bit better before i join a guild so i at least can hold my own and dont seem like a noob.
