Ok I read back many threads to make sure im not making a redundant post, so if this has been answered I appoligize

Whats the status of Ackalay bones being used in power hammers? When people first started using the bones they were getting hammers with 700-800 max damage. Now from a friend I saw hammer he had made with bones and it was like 450 max damage. Did they nerf the bones for being used in hammers? i have some decent ack bones 120min-200max but im scared to use them, as the last armor smith I asked said they were just for stun battons now. ??

If anybody can shed some light on this matter It would help many, and again if this has been answered on another post I appoligize. Thanks for reading

ackley bones can be used in power hammers. I'm not sure why you'd ask an armorsmith about weapons, but find a good weaponsmith, and I sure they could make you one.

Those bones should make you a slick hammer. Mine is 607 w/o bones and it's considered a so-so hammer on Flurry. I know 2 folks that have recently had acklay PHs made, one came-out 788 Max Dam, the other 748ish.

FearlessBob I'd love to get a PH like that in the 7-800's. Ask if you can post the Weaponsmith's name to the Board.

A normal Power Hammer (max damage in the 400's, unsliced, no special loot) is made with an advanced reinforment core about like this:

Advanced Reinforcement Core41-41 -0.57sec wnd:12% rng:11/11/11 ham:11-11-11

So if your Acklay Bones are 120-200 it would do 79 more min damage than a standard and 159 more max damage.

At that point you are at the mercy of your Master Smuggler's luck to see if you get really Uber or not. Either way it will make an excellent power hammer (or stun baton, if you really want to make some money reselling it).

kauri PH arent as good as flurry ( 450 max damage regular PH) but i used some decent bones ( 78/128 )to make my PH and i got a 33% damage slice on top of that its like 740 max damage pretty darn nice if you ask me
