When you reach Finesse3 you can switch to the Scythe Blade, and its easy from there.

My crafted 2-hand curved swords have 250 max damage with 2.6 speed, though I made a 2-hand curved with a Geonosian core (using yellow cubes and solidifying agent)that was 272 max damage. The Scythe blade can have a max damage upwards of 340 (possibly even higher)with good yellow cubes and solidifying agent, with about 2.5 or 2.6 speed.
On my Swordsman alt (1/1/2/1)I currently use the above mentioned 2-hand curved sword and a power-hammer experimented for accuracy (does 404 max damage with +0/+0/+0 accuracy mods). Both weapons are sliced for speed. Can't wait until I qualify for the Scythe Blade.

I know the feeling. As currently but soon to not be master pistoleer, my best PvP weapon was a sonic blaster and it cost me 550k and that is cheap for those. I am now going to try from Mater Fencer/Master pistoleer, a Master HS/ Master rifleman combo.
Already I am seeing that a Jawa Ion canon is equivelant to the sonic blaster however a little slower but AP1 and the 2 handed curved sword I just bought is 308 max dam and 2.6 speed with medium ap, well outdamaging my Gaffi and actually faster. Stun batons were only really any good if you could find an akly bone one and I didnt want 2 professions anymore that depended on rare loot for PvP and lacked the AP I need for high level PvE.
Sure, im losing some defenses but I am keeping my TKA meditate and precision striking line so Ill have near melee and ranged defense caps still Il just miss the beauty of COB macro for dodge but it just kept me alive long enough to realize I couldnt damage heavy AR NPCs anyway and my god are there a lot of fencers out there and obviously with my new rifleman skills there are a lot of those out there also.
So far I am enjoying HS and that is what its really about but I wont pass full judgment on if this is where I want to be until I master. I am very much a solo type player. I do like groups as well but I gotta be able to stand on my own as well to be happy.

Looks like I will get a scyhte blade cause as soon as I break novice I got 300k combat XP ready to bump me up.
I cant wait to see what the joys of this profession are as I am just mastering combat professions, not for holos, but more for myselfm as to know exactly what professions I personally like best.

there was one on my server the other day that sold ofr over a mil.... now if i were to buy that i would be completely out of money. but im using a 3.9 spd 501max dmg hammer. seems about as good as the 2h curved i was using. yea i miss a bit more, but more overall dmg from my view.
