Krayts have always been my fave prey.. but recently I can't find them 
might be the fact that our server's Mos Krayt is now a Metropolis and is screwing with all the spawns... Or maybe I'm just rubbish at spotting huge scaley things... altho i did kill 6 GDKs this evening so i don't think it's that great bone armour here I come!

I can find them everywhere....when I'm not buffed!!! 
True story. Yesterday I tell a guildie I'll find him some feral banthas to grind novice TKA and fencer. In the process of looking for feral banthas unbuffed I spot 3 canyon krayts and 1 juvie (mocking me with his 15% effect AP2 resist that makes me feel special as I go through it like butter...). I go around a second time and they're still there. I say hell with it and go get buffed. I come back...nada... All spawns have been killed.
My guildmate logs so I decide to go looking for krayts...freakin feral banthas coming out of the woodwork!!!! In 3 hours of looking...no krayts with the buffs, 12 feral bantha lairs without a guildie to point to them.

Krayts maybe the new elders, but they only spawn in one area and it can be a nightmare with everyone there lately.
Still I've not seen any for a week or so now

Krayt do the same damage and are not too hard to find. Kill them all the time everyday. Killed about 10 Giant canyon krayts, 3 Canyon and 5 juvies today and the LOOT sucked! Only good loot was 1 pearl and 9 +43 tissues. Rest were scale and carppy segments.

Yeah they have been dropping lots of scales for me to, out of about 50-60 krayts in that day we only got 2 pearls and about 3 sets of tissue killing almost all giants. I have noticed them hitting harder though.

Krayt loot>Elder loot
Regardless of the fact you can't use tissues, you find cooler things in the belly of a krayt. You can also kill the acklay for your PH enhancements. Stop trying to figure out how to kill elders, and start with krayts.
