I was unaware we could do this (counterattacking Force powers), but at the NS Stronghold the other night I see in the combat spam:

(this isn't exact obviously, but close, I'm going off of memory)
"[NS] uses the Force to do [xxx] damage to you, but you shrug it off and counterattack!"

Took a screenshot, but I'm at work so can't put it up. I thought only force defense would protect against force powers? Does dodge/block work also in this case?

For added info: I'm Master Brawler/Sword/Rifle. Have +124 Counterattack (a +14 Ubese shirt to normal +110).

Anyone tested this against Jedi? How often does a Force power get block/dodge/counter? Is it reliable--can it be somewhat 'counted upon' in PvP (*if* a Jedi uses the Force, obviously)?

Sorry for the questions, I tried searching the boards for relevant threads that address this issue, but was unable to find one, so just trying to get some info here to a situation I find interesting.

Wow thats a good question. I fight Elders mostly so I don't counterattack squat, but if it showed in your combat log that you did conterattack, then I guess it does "work" against force powers. If its supposed to "work" against force powers I have no clue, but free /bump anyways.

actually, upon checking the screenshot, it wasn't a damage attack i guess, but i think weaken... but it was still counterattacked, screenshot below, it's right in the middle of the spam.

I have Counterattacked A DJK's Force Debilitate. Was very odd.
