Swordsman Archive

What race has the best startup stats for swordsman? I know about stat migration, but some races have caps on certain stats (I found this out the hard way with mind limits on my first rifleman).

Wookiee with the High Natural Strength you can swing a power hammer with little to no Ham cost. With the new Ham system currently being tested out each special you use will subtract from your Ham total not damage you. So all of the armor wearing races with Encumberances will be taking Chunks of Health/Action/Mind from the end of their pools every time they Fire/Swing their weapon. In this sense Wookiees will finnaly recieve balance as our Secondary Stats are naturally High.

depends if you get doc buffs alot or not. If you do human is the best because you can just max your mind stats and keep your other stats high with buffs. If not probably still human because they have so much flexiblity. Wookie is not good, u cant wear armor. If youa re going to be unbuffed i feel that you really need a set of ubese armor.

You can't ignore Zabrak. Yeah we very high willpower, and everything else tends to be on the lower end.. but that is was stat migration is for. I upped my mind and health pools, sacrificed my action pool some... and mostly evened out secondary stats. With my mind pool so large and my willpower so huge, I learned novice medic, bought some quality b-stims, and can now go the distance in any fight.

You may still be saying "ok, he sounds like he wants to play a human." But here is why Zabraks make top quality swordsmen, or any melee profession... Equilibrium. There's no beating it. When you're in a tough fight and your health pool is dropping, and you've used skills and/or meds enough to drop your mind pool to dangerous levels... heal yourself one last time, hit equilibrium (then vitalize) and bam!... you got a big chunk of mindpool back courtesy of the action pool you probably still have (or vise versa with health pool.. depends on your weapon). Heal yourself again and you're almost like new. (I vitalize because 1. It has the same, hour long refresh time as equilibrium, so you can click it and check when you can use the skills again without taking the risk of accidentally losing your Equi. again.. and 2. If you used Equi. then you're probably gonna need all the help you can get, and a 50 point HAM buff can't hurt).

Being a Zabrak has saved me more times than I can count. Literally. I have never regretted chosing this race. Not once.

I think the best race is what ever you want to be. I myself am a rodian.

rodians for life, btw we get accuracy bonus +10 for sword and fencer which is helpful considering that the mods dont give us very high accuracy bonuses and power hammer is -30 to hit

i agree, rodian is the best. the best for using a 2h curved atm because of the action buffs rodians naturally get and the +10 to accuracy we have. if you have trouble swinging a PH drink a tat sunburn, you'll be invincible in pvp, +1800 to str and stamina are uber, make swinging a hammer like doing a pillow fight that secretly holds bricks in it instead
