Well I was going through the combat logs looking for the really big hits (we all do that, right? ) and noticed something about area attack 3, aka Domination.

For every use of area3, the combat log showed me hitting 6 gurks. What I noticed was, the first gurk listed wasalways hit the hardest...abouttwice as hard as any of the others.

Looking closerat the numbers, it appears that whatever you have targeted takes x4 damage (or similar), and everything else takes something like x2.

I never noticed this before, butsince this was versus 6 gurks and I used area3 over and over, it was pretty obvious, at least to me.Can anyone confirm?

If this is how it's working,I'll be a little smarter about attackingmultiple enemies.

Before, I just got in the thick of things, targeted whatever was handy, and repeated area3.

Now, I'll target the strongest or most dangerous one out of the group, so it takes the highest damage.

well, this would explain why the thing i usually have targeted dies first, and i have to switch from the corpse to one of the living things, untill all the enemy's are dead, i noticed this with a pack of four huurton howlers, a huurton matron, and three regular huurtons... the howler i was attacking first died before the other ones, and i had to keep switching targets as they all died from the area attack 3...

I think this may be true of all area attack skills. I know it's this way with pistoleer fanshot. the primary target ALWAYS goes down first.
