One thing I've noticed on most of the profession boards is a total lack of love for the "holocron chasers"...and actually who can blame them? My main profession is Droid Engineer, and I know that the DEs hate spending all thier time doing the tedious grinding, the hard fought sales in an almost dead market, and the trivial rewards for climbing the long trail that is the DE skill ladder, only to see a powergamer blast onto the message boards asking "How can I level through this crappy profession quickly so I can drop all my skills and move on to my next holocron?"

I imagine you guys must feel similar...spending long hourse leveling and lobbying for the profession to inprove, only to see holo-chasers fly through it without a thought.

Well, I'm here to admit...I was a holo-chaser swordsman. When my holocron to me to master swordsman I was like "Oh great..this will take forever, and it take way too many skill points I want to spend elsewhere. I'll just blast through the leveling so I can drop this as soon as possible." I even posted on these boards a few weeks ago asking how to level quickly.

But you know what? A few days later, I was running around the sands of Tatooine..killing things that I would have fleed in terror from before, thinking to myself "Hey, this is pretty cool!"

Now, I've decided I LOVE being a swordsman! Even though I am only still a Novice, I'm having so much fun I will be keeping all my skills once I've reached master. I never would have tried it before, but now that I'm here, I"m not going to give up being a swordsman for anything. And that is what the holocrons were meant to do, isn't it? Sure you'll get a couple of disrespectfull powergamers who are going through the motions just to get the "uber-profession"...and some like I was who had no intention of caring about swordsman, and just wanted to make a Jedi. But, out of the hundreds who come through...a handfull of people, who would never have tried swordsamn before...will find themselves loving this profession, and staying.

Good point. I have a friend who the same thing happened. A holo told her to do Swordman and now she absolutely loves it!

I just did it cuz I figured carbine + sword will rock.

Wow, bull ronto dead in 3 hits.

I can outdamage anyone in melee.

I'm not scared of... anything really. The sword will take them down.

I'm loving it.

I should mentionI'm a Former Master Commando (Holo #2)and Creature Handler...Still hold onto my Flame 2 Toy, don't use it and hardly ever call my Graul Mauler...

On my (3rd Holo) Master Swordsman - going to Master Brawler as well - The combo Master Swordsman should be pretty powerful.

I am a TKM, master brawler and got swordsman as first holo. Fun fun fun is all I can say

Have to be something really good for me to pursue my second holo
