Thread: Questions about Skill Mods

I was scrolling through a vendor somewhere and found a skill tape (armor attachment) that gave +1 to two hand melee damage. I thought that sounded a bit odd as I don't recall ever getting that in a tree anywhere. Checking my skill list, sure enough once I had the armor I added the attachment to equiped, it showed "Two-Hand Melee Damage 0/+1.

So I'm wondering... will this +1 even make a difference? I haven't noticed one yet though my attacks "seem" faster with the 2 or 3 points total I've added in two hand melee speed armor attchments (I have money to burn, what can I say).

Anyone have any input about this?

TKA's get a +damage skill mod of around +250 or so which is added directly to normal damage - So if a TKA hits for 200 damage, the +250 will be added to make a total of 450. (Atleast thats the way i've always believed it works.)

I'd imagine the Two-Handed damage skill mod is added in the same way.

Considering that you can never attain more than a total of +25 to a skill-mod from attachments, you could only ever get a +25 damage increase..

Clearly not worth it..

The main benefit of it though is that the +damage modifier is unaffected by damage mitigation. Another reason why TKA's are superior in PvP. Its a bug though, so it wont be around for too much longer.
