I'm currently a master carbineer and master fencer, however I'm starting my new template which will be TKA 4400 Master Carbineer, and Master Swordsmen. Let me tell you the tuskens don't even touch me in the Fort all I see is "A Tusken Carni Champ hits you for 2500 pts of dmg, but you shrug it off and counterattack." TRUST ME the counterattack does stack!

From what i know it should be the same as for the almost legendary pistoleer / fencer dodging stack issue: No recent changes.

I am master swordsman and have 0/0/4/0 carbineer and from what i can tell counterattack stacking does not work that well. The only time it becomes very difficult to hit me is when i use CoB (i'm master brawler too) then i'm almost untouchable. But unless i'm centered i still get hit really often. I've done tons of test with guildmates on this too. Have had master rifleman and master TKA attack me, and both those professions have a very high accuracy, i would counter attack maybe 1 in 5 or 6. With CoB i'm almost impossible to hit though.

COUNTERATTACK DOES STACK. Along with Dodge and Block. BUT ONLY when you have the corrisponding weapon in your hand.

Ex. Counterattack on works when a 2h Weapon or a Carbine is equiped.

This is the absolute worst way to try and test if it stacks. You have no point of reference.

The original poster is much more accurate of a test since he has no counterattack in sword, but counterattacks alot just for holding a 2h sword.

If you want to test it, you can't have both. Once you invest points in both trees you have to depend on others who have a better testing environment for your evidence. Just because you get hit alot doesnt mean its not stacking.

Listen, i know how well i was counterattacking before i got any carbineer because i did many tests with my defense and with CoB on and now that i have gone up the carbineer line i have also done several test. Gaining 80 points in counter attack i did not see a significant increase in my counterattack defense firing as compared to when i had no carbineer. I tested it using the same combat professions against me, a TKM anda master rifleman. I did see counetrattacking working much better though when i was CoB, maybe 1 in 15 or 20 shots would get through where as before maybe 1 in 10.

Are you sure you know what your talking about? We are talking about if getting extra mods from carbineer will help. The only way to test itis to have bothand compare it to when you only have one. I've been trained as a scientist i know how to run tests. The only variable in my test was with carbineer counter attack mods and without.

It stacks.

I was master carbineer, I CA about 1 in 2 or 3 hits

I starts wordsman, I ca once in every 2 or 3 hits

I am master now in both though, still about the same, I think it may softcap.

But as a novice swrdosman no way should I have been CAing so much, I also picked up fencer at the same time and the diffrence between tnaking between holding th two types of swrods was insane.

It stacks. No doubt in my mind. I just think it caps otheriwse i'd be nearly unstoppable if it had doubled (my CA is 215 I think atm)
