Thread: Just got a Rancor 2-Handed Curved

Im currently building swordsman, at 0,3,2,4 right now. Just bought a new sword, its a rancor toothed curved, 3.7 spd, 38-289, 47% wound. Didnt get it sliced yet, what do u think? Any good?

slow and very very low minimum damage, put it on the bazzar for 1k

Minimum damage is bad but if u get a speed slice it'll still be an ok backup weapon for when ur PH needs repairing

I had one made with a rancor tooth (stats on that were +12-120dmg, -0.561spd, -7/9/7 HAM, minus being a negative effect)
it was 35-338 @ 3.8 and sliced to 2.8 speed. HAM costs were same as any other good sword. I never use it because I gota regular crafted63-250 @ 2.5 sword sliced to 85-337 damage.
Rancor teeth are sort of cool, but you better have a REALLY good one for it to be of real use.
the wound chance will be good I suppose, but only for PvP really to avoid people healing their damage right away.

They were supposed to have been fixed, but I've not heard of any having been looted since they were supposed to have been fixed. I've killed hundreds upon hundreds of rancors and have not looted 1 single tooth from any of the various breeds of Rancor since they "were supposed to have been fixed"
Have any of you looted or heard of anyone who has looted a recent Rancor tooth? Because now they're supposed to reduce speed, increase damage, lower HAM.

I've been hunting rancor for days... probably killed 100 - 150 of them raning from young to anchient bulls and so far i have gotten 3 pieces of armor hide (off one rancor) and nothing else. It may just be me through, people are getting vials of rancor bile all the time, as for teeth.... noone is getting them as far as I can tell

They must have pooched the loot, because before I would get like 6 rancor teeth off one loot, It would take probably 20 kills to get a tooth drop but still it would happen.

I don't remember exact stats, I'll check later, but I did loot 3 identical rancor teeth just 3-4 days ago. They are still dropping. The max damage was around 75, the ham was 17/16/16 I THINK. I'll check later today and confirm exact stats.

I got 6 teeth the other night on Starsider.

The hunting party I was in last night looted some teeth and they were fairly unimpressive. 8-80, speed was still a positive value (makes the weapon slower) and so on.
Perhaps someone meant they'd been fixed on TC and now we're waiting on it to go to the Live servers?
