Thread: Swordsman Hammer only good?

Scythe is excellent in pvp, a lot faster than the hammer and much more accurate. Damage can be very good as well when crafted well. The 2 hand sword is nice, our server really has some nice ones. Very fast and the damage is nice too, but not sure if it will ever compete against the Scythe in pvp when you finally qualify for it.


The hammer does blast damage though, and it hits real hard. Keep one on hand for turrets, atst and other creatures with low or vulnerabilty to blast.


I agree, the hammer thing does not inspire me much eather as the main weapon in my arsinal, but as a back up for certain things, it is a great weapon and fun to use.

Hi mates


Heavy Swordsman has some cool moves and weapons, but im not the hammer/axe type of fan


At Master Heavy swords, can 2H curved sword and Scytche be any useful in PVE and PVP, or is Power hammer all the way


Scytche and 2H curved sword, both looks very cool IMO, but I don't wanna go the heavy swordsman rute if the power hammer is superior in every way...

The hammer is especially ridiculous when some of the animations (standard attack, one of the area attacks) end in stabbing motions...not that impressive with a hammer.

I know what you mean. i generally tend to pick my combat profs by how good the weapons look, elite carbine with scope and form fitting stock looks great. i chose swords cos the curved one, i use it all the time unless the damage type requires blast. i find it fine, great speed, nice damage. find a WS and then collect the parts yourself (metal with high SR) and the cores. its fun, makes loot even better when you find a great core. Hammers look naff for some, smaller toons and such, but look good for some. pikeman next (NS energy lance-a fine looking stick)
