I'm currently leveling up the requirements for swordsman and TK, but I'm not sure which will be best. I'm not really a PvPer, well in truth I've never actually PvPed >_>, but I don't really know which would be better for PvE. I know everyone says that swordsman are the best PvE ers out there, but I'm just not sure. I mean I know some TKs that are also really strong, but maybe that have other proffs mastered. So what would yalls input be on it and maybe you can help me decide. Also I have another question. Currently I travel with a veteran player to Dath when I wish to level, I can handle dat by myself but I was wondering if that would be a good place to level up swordsman(if I choose to be one).
Thanks for your help

the beauty of the SEARCH button......
well nm here it is :
go to dantooine get a solo group ,
then go to mistmoore (has also a npc swordsman trainer in case u don't like to wait for others to train u)
then pick :Hurtons
Quenkers
Pickets
or anything else u see
most of it is all pretty good xp just spam spinattack or area-attack on the lair this of course is all done with armor/buffs/food/etc

Swordsman is probably easier to get... eh, they're both really easy... you can do either one in less than an hour if you get lucky on the terms.
As for best for PvE, it's Swordsman hands down. Reasons?
1. Medium Armor Piercing weapons...
2. Blast Damage
3. Counterattack - this is like Fencer's dodge...
Things TKs have over Swordsman are:
1. Inherent speed - this can be overcome with 2h melee speed tapes or the FS melee speed branch]
2. Unarmed toughness - this is the only true defensive thing TK has over Swordsman
3. Meditation - No one can debate the usefulness of Meditation when you can Med off wounds, poisons, diseases and bleeds. Only by having Doctor skills can you rule this out, and even then you can't heal mind wounds with doc...
So, TK is more of a good tank, they're weapon is only AP1 but they do have the inherent speed, no need to grab some tapes to get up to that. Swordsman are the most offensive of the Melee professions, sacrificing Defense for Damage, but in PvE, that sacrificed def. isn't going to hurt you much. The only prof I'd put above Swordsman is Pikeman in a large mob group setting... Pikes are the masters of area attacks, but even then... Swordsman has area attacks too...
EDIT: BTW, this is coming from someone who has mastered all 4 melee profs, a couple of them multiple times. TKM and Swordsman are my two favorite.
