Thread: Curved Sword or 2H cleaver

well, since you don't have access to a scythe.. what are you asking for? grinding 2h xp? or trying to pvp with one... i would assume grinding, if thats the case go with the fastest weapon you can get your hands on until you have better accuracy, go with the curved sword, those are usually faster.

It all depends on what your fighting and whether or not its PvP or PvE.
The accuracy on the two-hand curved sword is much better than a cleaver. The speed on the 2 hand curved sword is much better than the cleaver. The damage range is much worse with a 2 hand curved sword but since in PvE the NPC's don't have melee mitigation use the 2 hand curved sword screw the cleaver.
If it's PvE then you need to get a Scythe if you plan on being an effective swordsman
If it's PvP then it all depends upon what you are fighting. If your going up against a defense stacker with dodge or defense stacker TK you have to use the 2 hand curved sword or with any other weapon of ours you will always miss. Take a look at the accuracy on your weapons. If they aren't in +'s and your fighting a defense stacker your gonna lose.
The only problem with the 2 hand curved sword in PvP is the extreme range between min and max. Melee mitigation rips this weapon apart but at the same time at least your hitting your opponent.
If your fighting a rifleman, pikeman, Jedi, commando...etc.... any proffesion with low defenses and the person is NOT a stacket then use the scythe. I doubt you will ever find a suitable Powerhammer that has enough accuracy to be used effectively in PvP.
The Hammer is for PvE.
The Scythe and 2 Hand Curved Sword are for PvP
Scythe>Cleaver so get rid of the cleaver and use the scythe.

Eat citrus snowcake...helps a lot with that...
P.S. My PvP-Scythe is about 270 min.-damage and +33 on ideal...

That's all in preference. I choose to eat Synthasteak, Protein Wafers, or Ahrisa instead of the accuracy food. Accuracy is important but not as important as staying alive. If you can't take the hits then it doesn't matter how often you hit you will lose the fight. The key to pretty much and PvP fight is is outlasting the enemy.

My scythe is at -8 all the way around but it hits hard at +500 damage with a 15% powerup.

Ive gotten in a few debates over which weapon is better if you want to do kinetic damage (assuming you have no acces to a scythe) and its been up in the air, so i figured id ask the community of experts, which is better, a two handed curved sword, or a 2h cleaver for doing kinetic damage?
And also, what are general good stats for either of these weapons, price, and what have you so i can ask around.
I switched servers and the weapon quality thier isnt to great, so its hard to determine these things so i figure id just ask.
